I have been able to call this portable device and achieve a magnification of 1200x. Previous reviewers on large display models were unable to figure out how to do this, almost making me unable to buy. I listen to them "M GL GLAD I DIDN"T. .. In addition, it should be noted that the transparent plastic circular base on the business side of this range can be gently removed, giving my users an extra full centimeter of vertical clearance to use my mini at the focus of the lens. Sorting tool. I did not hurt the instrument in any way. I started a tiny wedge with a safety razor blade and then shook it gently, it was as clean as a whistle. I am very happy with men! .. .. CAVeAT: If you decide to delete this transparent part, remember where you put it. (laughs)... a neat unit. I am very happy that I screwed it up. Battery life is a bit short. Good thing, it has an AC adapter. But then I did a tedious manual work on this platform, so I could look at the battery frantically. ...I haven't tried this software yet, so I don't know how intuitive it is. I have not tried the screenshot. I did find it helpful to place an ultra-fine Sharpie pinch in the exact center of the platform, which matches the "rectangular frame" on the display. Save a lot of troubles and eye strain. This way I can use transparent media under my specimen without losing my reference point. (Selecting a dot color other than black is my legacy) I did not hesitate to recommend it to another consumer. The displayed measurement values are not very accurate and I am very comfortable in measuring the metric. If I want to buy a similar unit, I will choose a larger display size. However, this works fine, especially at 1200 times magnification.
