This is a really cool little engraver. It was very easy to set up and figure out. I've been having a lot of fun with it so far. It really can't engrave on a toothpick, FYI. I got this to engrave titles on security RFID cards. I'm not a fan of the text input unit comes with but I did find a work around that I like. I just have to do all my text in paint program, save it, and drag it over. I can control how big or small with that and I can even adjust a little as to where the text shows up. If you are interested at all in one of these, it's well worth the cost. I really love the saved image it feature.

I received the engraver yesterday and have already made several cuts with it. It does what it says its going to and does it well. It does take some playing to get the cut depth correct for different materials but with some testing and logging your settings there shouldn't be much issue. I was expecting the cut times to be relatively short, but in my experience they have all taken 5+ minutes which doesn't bother me because I think its pretty neat to watch.

This is a quality build. It comes 95% preassembled. The laser attaches with two screws, and the bottom plate attaches with some glue or double-sided sticky tape. Then it's done and ready to go. The engraver is compact but has "presence". Meaning, it's looks really cool sitting on your desk and people will definitely ask you about it. The hardware itself is really awesome! The circuit is very easy to take out and the connectors are all easy to attach / detach. It can be easily changed to work with a homebrew Arduino or even RaspberryPi. The laser is excellent and very powerful, with variable power settings. The fan clears the smoke. The whole thing is solid (make sure to attach the plate with glue or double sided sticky tape). The software is very easy to use, however it has some minor bugs. I had to restart an etching a few times to get it to work. The software only works on windows (or Windows emulator on Linux/Mac). But again... the price is awesome for a ready-to-use laser engraver. The hardware is awesome. This is a review of a gratis unit. It works well. Hardware is great.

I ordered the product earlier this week and got it today, (Go prime!) but everything was packaged perfectly! I only had a chance to use it for a few minutes, but the pre-programmed feature worked flawlessly and it was really interesting seeing the laser at work, burning the design into the wood that was provided! The box came with no dents or any blemishes on it, and the product was packaged snugly in there as well. It came with all of the necessary cords and the installation disc. The only thing I will say is that I am not able to use the disc, as my computer does not have a CD drive (This may just be an oversight on the companies part, but I have also emailed them asking for the drivers to get the software on my computer as well). I will update this review when I get that software and I am able to use the product for my own designs and purposes. Update as of 7/16: I have had the software installed for about a week now (Found a friend with a CD Drive) and was able to get it all. The program is a little clunky, but everything works well. As another review said, it is better to do text editing and stuff like that in another program, save it and then drag and drop it into their program. This is the fastest and easiest way of doing this. Disclaimer: I did receive the product at a discounted rate in order to review the product.

The package is very solid and well protected.The software is not easy to use after I have tried sereval times.The whole engraving time is amazing short.It runs so fastly.When you have prepared all setting,then it functions automatically.I'm very satisfied with this laser engraving machine.
