I bought this so I can scan the microchips in stray/found pets and deceased pets I have encountered, hoping to find their owners. This scanner can easily read 15-bit microchips and is very fast. I can directly use it to test on my pet. It comes with a charger. Super easy to use. If needed, I suggest you keep your phone handy to take a picture of the microchip number. I worked with the dog rescue team and also attracted stray cats, so I was very happy to have to scan. I plan to put it in my car for emergencies. I believe this will also read 10-bit microchips, and it will definitely read 15-bits. I have PetLink and HomeAgain chips, and this scanner can read them easily. I highly recommend this, and it is very cost-effective. It is also very light.

I am a magnet for stray animals, and we also have 13 of our own fur babies. Between the wanderers who inevitably appear on our land and the baby microchips that need to update all of my own, this thing has always been a life-saving straw. It is no longer necessary to load stray dogs or cats into the car and send them to the veterinarian for scanning. I can do it easily at home. So far, this has helped me quickly bring two dogs back to their owners, and I think it will be used a lot in the future. The charging is permanently effective, the numbers are clear and easy to read, and stay on the screen long enough for writing down. It hadn't missed a microchip, it picked them up quickly.

We bought it before we implanted our cat with a microchip, in case she was implanted with a microchip before, and the microchip was not detected. Then we implanted her with a microchip, and the number appeared immediately after scanning her. The device works perfectly. It will also help when our neighbors find stray animals, because we will be able to let them scan and find animals so that they can easily reunite with their owners.

I am very satisfied with this product. It arrives 2 days in advance and is beautifully packaged, which accurately represents the product I ordered online. The scanner is small enough, light in weight, and easy to operate. It takes a few seconds to scan the chip located between the shoulder blades of my cat, and the black screen with white numbers is easy to read. It comes with a USB cable for charging. I would recommend this product.
