The instruction sheet appears to show two different models. One measures current, the other does not. The switch on this meter points to "off" rather than "mA" at the 2:30 position, so this meter does NOT measure current.

I bought this tester over a year ago and am now just writing a review. I carry it in my breast pocket at work and use it just about every day, even though I carry two different Fluke units in my tool bag. However, I did modify it. A use 2 magnets (very flat and strong from an expired hard drive), one inside and one opposite outside of the cover to hold it to a vertical surface. I stuck a dozen small post-it notes inside the cover. I also use a soft rubber wristband (the type that are given out for fund raisers) around it when closed to give drag or friction to keep it from sliding out of my pocket when bending over. If it ever breaks or stops working, I will probably buy another one because it was so inexpensive.

Surprising quality in this inexpensive and tiny multimeter. It's small enough to carry around in my jacket pocket, but a bit too large for . Also, these have been reviewed relatively well by electrical engineers. Sure, they aren't a Fluke, but they are an order of magnitude cheaper. No current measurement, but I wouldn't want current measurement in a pocket meter. I would never trust such a small meter to handle current measurement in a safe fashion.

I hadn't noticed this feature when I ordered it, but when it came I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was a 'True RMS' meter. This means that when you test voltages that are not a true sine wave, you will still get an accurate reading. Meters that are not 'True sine wave' will read 10 or more percent lower when reading voltages from inverters (Modified sine wave) which are commonly the small devices that convert 12 volt DC to 120 volt AC. Another nice feature was the 'capacitor' testing function. Any one who diagnoses problems with motors and compressors will find that invaluable. Because of its small size, i wouldn't use this to try to measure any great amount of voltage, but for normal 120/208-220/460-480, I would feel comfortable using it.

I am really happy with this little multimeter. This will be a great small DMM to carry on a motorcycle for trail diagnostics if it's ever necessary. Vehicles are full of electronics and they have high reliability in their relatively mild environment. Dirt bike electronics are getting more and more sophisticated and they are subject to much harsher environments. Their reliability is compromised as they vibrate, age, get wet, corrode, etc... I'll report back if I ever really need this meter on the road or trail. In the meantime, I suspect this will see some service around the house! My regular DMM does not have some of the features of this little meter. The only thing really missing for my purposes is a current setting. Knowing how the current measurement typically works, I can imagine it being difficult to integrate into such a small meter -at least in a high enough capacity to be useful. My only real disappointment with the meter is the battery access. Requiring a small philips screwdriver to access the batteries might be a non-issue if the two AAA batteries last a long time, but I would still prefer not to need the extra fastener.

I once forgot to bring my regular-sized DMM to a job... That happened to be the time I shocked myself (particularly painful) on a circuit that was supposed to be dead. I then started looking for a DMM I could carry around with me all the time. The DMM's actual dimensions are about 5in x 3in x 3/4in. This was larger than what I had gathered from the description. However, it fits great in my back pocket. Clearly, this is not a substitute for good measuring equipment. It does not have an ammeter function, and I haven't tested its accuracy. In conclusion, I would gladly pay $16 to avoid future shocks by testing circuits with this device that I can carry with me all the time.

Good meter for what i needed, frequency and duty cycle measurement. Slow response and cheaply made. Would rate it lower but all of the functions do seem to work as expected and it is fairly accurate. The auto-off feature is also a plus as i almost always forget to turn my meters off.

Great for the person who needs a device with them at all times that's not a pain to carry around. Approx. 5"x3"x3/4" pretty much fits anywhere. Cable length is just over 12", but remember they are internally wired to the back of the meter. Unit requires 2 AAA batteries. (supplied) The operators manual, as mentioned by others, is in Chinese. At the time of this writing, no English version was available to download from website as noted by others. One consolation is that inside the cover is an English label describing the various range limits. It also notes its an "Auto Range" and "Auto Power Off" device. I like the the nice clear 5/8" numeral display.

I wanted a DMM to put in my tool bag that I carry on my motorcycle. This is just a little larger than a deck of cards and works perfectly. I just wish the leads were a little longer but, it has been manageable so far. Everything I need a DMM to do when working or diagnosing something on my motorcycle, this does and in a small size.
