    There aren't a lot of choices for cold shoe mounted infrared illuminators so I gave this one a try. It makes a great deal of infrared light so much that I usually use switched to half so it will certainly work for you if you need a lot of infrared light. It's a floodlight formation though so don't expect a spotlight. The only negative I would say is the extra cold shoe on top of it was crooked but I didn't but it to use that part so it's still a 5 star to me.

    It is fine for what I will be using it for small so easy to pack in the camera bag, cuts through the dark good too. Will be fine til I need something bigger.

    I use this to play with my Quest headset with all the lights turned off. It's really portable, so, I've also used it outside to play at night. It's rather bright and directional, so, you need to reflect it off the ceiling, floor or something else, directly into the headset os overwhelming.

    I got this light for occasional night investigation. Works wonderfully outside and inside. I would very much recommend it. It is a powerful but compact light with all the brightness for night vision you need. The battery life is surprising. Love it!

    They work flawlessly. Charging is easy and they last a good while. Indicator light shows when the unit is fully charged. It lights up most rooms, but for hallways you might want a focused light source to see in the distance. The feel sturdy and look good, so I would definitely buy again if I need more.

    Tried them out in completely dark room and they lit up the room very well. Distance all depends on the darkness of the night and really have not tried the battery life yet.

    Worked pretty good, we used it on one of our smaller ir camera’s to video night time, was nice having a built in rechargeable battery and a built in cold shoe to connect to top of camera.. it does get quite warm when running for some time? I’ve had no issues yet but putting that out and if your filming more than say the length of a good sized room it not gonna work for you we had to add to get that far out
