The product that saved my client is the new name for this device. I literally grabbed the package from the delivery guy and bolted to a video shoot with a client of mine. I was needing a quick social video and we decided to shoot outdoors and I was concerned that wind, other elements, the outdoors would not be a controlled area, but that is where the client insisted. The Comica came through in big ways and from just the raw cut my editor is working on now, the sound came out amazing and this is even before post work. It was easy to set up and clip into our Alpha camera. Since it was a inrterview style shoot the two mics came in handy and we were able to each adjust to our own needs. The vibratory structure of the lapel microphone is designed to have low mass and stiffness, and to resonate at a comparatively high frequency. And Comica meet the challenge. The mic allows for some movement around and allowed for the ambient noises to remain ambeint instead of primary. If you are looking for a great solution for your audio needs in the field or studio, take a serious look at this product. In fact, this is now packed in the field case and will be with us at every shoot. My client was impressed and will be even more so when the final cut is complete. If the audo had been bad it would have been the end of this contract. Thanks Comica!
