This is a really nice field monitor. I didn't notice a weight shift when u added it to my Crane 3, and I really appreciate Kate the fact that they include the stud to attach it to the crane with the monitor. Can also be installed directly to the hot shoe or to a cage via other connection accessories included. No battery included, however there is versatility in battery types, and since I already have several batteries that do fit this field monitor, I am ready to roll from the box

I did't think i would be liking it as much as i do. But it is easy and versatile. It is light weight. So less weight on your camera rig/gimbal. It starts up super fast. One thing indeed i did notice is you can accidentally turn it off also by pressing the wrong button on top. If they had an update for holding the power button to turn it would be awesome.

I bought this to see after reading a few online reviews. As a backup for my A6500 it worked pretty well, the menus aren't all that great but I'll tell you what. The image was fantastic for a very inexpensive monitor and if you were on a budget, this wouldn't be a bad started monitor for you to try out. I have only had mine a few days so I can't speak to the longevity of it but I was impressed out of the box.

I've tried out several small field monitors looking for an inexpensive option that meets my needs – I'm using it with a GH5 rig. I also own the Lilliput A7S (the monitor, not the camera) and have been impressed with it, but wanted something smaller and lighter. The A5 isn't perfect, but it is very good for the price and it's the closest thing I've found to my ideal monitor so far. First the pros: it is extremely lightweight and compact; the dual battery option is great, although I've only tried it with Sony batteries so far; the monitor is sharp with decent color reproduction and is reasonably bright; it has a handful of assist functions that work well; and I haven't experienced any reliability issues with it so far. For the cons: it is almost too small – it's noticeably smaller than a 5.7" monitor and I think that might actually be the sweet spot between portability and view-ability; the plastic construction is a bit creaky compared to pricier monitors; the sun hood feels cheap and I'm not crazy about how it attaches; and only having one shortcut key means that most of the assist features are only accessible by going through the menu. I was looking for a reliable, cheap monitor to use primarily for checking framing and focus. The A5 meets my needs without adding much weight or bulk to my rig. It's cheaper than most monitors in this range and – so far – better than the other ones I've tried. I can't yet vouch for its long-term reliability, but I'm impressed with it so far. If you want an inexpensive, small, basic field monitor, I'd recommend it.

This is not my first Lilliput monitor, I have owned the A7S monitor for almost a year and I am very happy with it, outstanding quality and features, it serves multiple purposes in my setup. When I saw that there was a 5-inch version, I knew I had to own one since it would be the right size for my camera rig, and true to form it did not disappoint, a high-quality monitor for serious video work and at an affordable price, without a doubt I will be adding another as soon as I purchase my next camera and rig (I especially love the choice of two battery mounts, Canon LPE6 for maximum portability and Sony NPF for maximum runtime) Excellent Affordable Monitor !
