You are in complete control of the light. Comes with a great sturdy case as well. Very easy to use. Only issue is, the attachment for the barn doors didn’t come with the screws. Other than that, no issues. Luckily I keep old screws. Absolutely love this light. Use it for my photography shoots. Only gave 4 stars due to missing screws.

Love the light and the simplicity how to use it. Pros: Bi-color | Can use NP-F batteries | Light and portable | Color quality is great | Includes carry case and diffusion Cons: The color temperature keeps changing by itself even when the nob isn't touched (Maybe mine light has a defect) Not the brightest light meaning more of a fill light than key light Tightening nob is very stiff even when fully rotated to loosen In summary it's a great light with plenty potential and practicality.

I was a little bit skeptical about this lights but I must admit I was WRONG, Yes, you can buy less expensive professional video lights. It is build like a tank. Whole body made from metal and bc it`s LED lights you won`t feel hot while shooting the video. Also you can add batteries and bring it outside and you don`t need to worry about transportation bc it has a strong case. If you still thinking should you buy or not, just BUY and You are welcome=)

I work in radio, and we have a video podcast that is on location somewhere once a week. This light has been the work horse of my lights that I take to the podcast since I got it in January 2019. Very capable light with a decent color temperature. I actually like the size and the power of the GVM 520, but I like the color temperature and app usability of the 480-LS. But, I really throw this light around, even keeping it on its stand and tossing the whole thing in my production van on the way to my podcast. Very strong all metal construction and has treated me well!

I love this light and use it for both video and stills. I love that I can adjust the temperature and intensity of the light and that it comes with the slide in diffuser. It's so much more convenient that hauling around soft boxes, and it comes in a very attractive and professional looking case (that protects the light). Highly recommended.

The LED panel is built well and works great for small lighting requirements or as an accent light on bigger sets. The controls are easy to use and the digital display is easy to read. I have a motorized GVM slider as well and the batteries are interchangeable. The batteries are an option and ARE NOT INCLUDED with this light but are awesome to have when you don't have A/C power close by. The included diffusion insert works well for cutting down on the multi-shadow effect caused by bare LEDs.

Been a GVM user while being 10 months in photography. Bought my GVM light back in March 2018 and it has given me potential to develop my photography over time. Instagram: @yhk.shots Example photo attached is my photography done in a seamless wallpaper and only one GVM light utilized for lighting with a Canon T6i camera. It’s a great and convenient lighting to work with. Appreciate their great product as always. Wish they’d have giveaways. 😆

As a photographer I have used many LED lights through the years and most of them fall short. This GVM 520 LED light is one to keep. It's well built and made mostly of metal. It comes with a nice bag, a diffusion panel, a manual, a "safety wire" and a 6 feet power cord. The light bracket is very versatile and it allows the light to change angle, and to be attached in two different ways to a tripod. It has 520 LED bulbs and it's very bright, you can change the intensity from 10-100%, you can also change the color temperature, its' brightest around 4400 Kelvin. The light quality is very clean and does not show any strange color cast. The diffusion panel can be removed in order to get the maximum brightness. You can also buy an additional diffusion panel that has a distance bracket in order to get even better diffusion. An additional barn door is also available for purchase. The light comes with a 6 feet power cord, but you can also power the light with two Sony style batteries. This light is perfect for studio work and for outside work when the weather is overcast or in the shade. In direct sunlight use a a strobe as almost all LED lights are not bright enough to over power the sun. I highly recommend this light for photo and video, it's really good value for the price.
