This was my 4th boom pole. It's a solid choice for a budget pole. The knobs on mine are different than the ones shown in the pic, but it's a non issue. They are fine. I often use two mics on my boom, so I decided I didn't need an internal cable. You add an internal cable if you like. I find internals can cause more handling noise. My preferred method is to use a bunch of fishing pole straps to fasten on my cables. This boom is plenty long and has a nice case. I sometimes need a super long pole, so I combine this with a Rode Ultra Lightweight Modular Boom Arm. I use an umbrella bracket (elbow) to connect the two. It's an awesome boom system and I'm finally happy with my setup. This boom is cheap, but I like the quality over some of the others I tried.
