If you are looking for light tripod this is probably not for you but if you want something sturdy for your video camera that does a decent job of pan and tilt then this could be what you are looking for. We use it for our main camera for our church live stream and it is very sturdy and easily takes the camera weight. It is is easy to adjust the tilt function and fix the camera in position and then release the camera for pan and tilt. Would definitely recommend it for this type of purpose.

Let me start off by saying this tripod's build quality and feel is top notch. However, the max payload advertised is highly inaccurate, as my current setup is about 15lbs, well under the 22lbs max payload, and yet the legs still slide in on themselves and has caused the tripod to fall over. On a job. I can't recommend this tripod for any serious work.

The fluid head was of particularly good for the price range. Once I figured out the base plate mount I was off and testing. This is my fifth tripod in this price range. The Neewer base plates are compatible so I won't need additional adapters to make all my camera mounts match.

Everything is great except for the head. I’m shooting sports with it and trying to pan makes the head come loose from the bottom. No matter how hard to tighten it. Gets worse in the cold weather too. I can’t figure out how to loosen it more. At this point I’m probably buying a new head from an photography store.

Great Tripod for video really can’t complain at all, I shoot video in all types of weather and this has really held its own after 2 months that I’ve abused this thing. Did I mention it’s built well lol. The fluid head is pretty smooth I don’t get any jitters and it’s not really heavy. The bag is a plus. I wasn’t trying to break the bank and this was a great investment. Do not I repeat do not buy cheap tripods and complain about the quality. You get what you pay for this tripod is really a great value. If you’re looking for a very travel friendly tripod to hike with look elsewhere this was not intended for that. Those tripods are built different for that very reason.

OK I just received the stand today and have to say it's well built and the quality of the product is really nice and sturdy and does not feel cheap in any way. I am a wedding videographer and use various cameras to film. I took it out the packaging and didn't even have to read the instructions that's how easy it was to setup. The mounting plate it comes with is brilliant and also has a quick release function. The head when rotating around feels really smooth and I was able to pan from left to right using my baby finger without much force. It comes in a tough carry bag for easy carrying. I'm really impressed with this purchase. I was not paid to write this review and I live in London and just wanted others to know it's a good product and am sure it will do wonders out in the field.

cA really professional stand at an affordable price! I am a professional videographer and have used my share of good and bad tripods. I have seen the negative review for this product and after receiving the tripod myself dont see anything wrong with my product. I have used it on many shoots this past week. mountains and even had it in the water about a foot up the legs. The legs are strong and sturdy and easily flys my 20lb setup. My fluid head is actually a little Tight. i actually prefer tight fluid heads, they make for smoother panning. The head itself is big and robust. Problem is the quick release plate is a little smaller the manfrotto and bogan quick release plates. but oh well. so you got to tighten and loosen one screw. kind of a pain but it is nothing to make me consider not purchasing a second and a third tripod. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest, unbiased review. it works beautiful and I would recommend it to any beginner to intermediate user.

The tripod is perfect. It's intended more for an actual full size video camera, but I shoot with the Canon XL1 (6-7lbs) , and it's really sturdy and supportive for my camera. The fluid head is absolutely smooth. It even has a spring loaded head for smooth balancing while tilting. The panning is very smooth and the locks work well for drag. The the tripod legs stack up in between each other and not into each other for added support. The tripod head has a nice solid feel to it. My favorite part is that its a ball based head, which means you can adjust the head itself for leveling on uneven ground without having to play around with adjusting the legs. Overall this is a very good tripod for the price range, the body is mostly metal especially the head. I would recommend this if your looking for a sturdy, professional tripod for your dslr or video camera.

This is a lot of tripod for the money- I would even say it is of an industrial standard. It comes in a nice bag which holds it all safe, and it can be assembled in literally seconds. The legs extend downwards, making it able to hold the camera at chest height. As with all these things, the main part is the head of the tripod. This has a sturdy head which can be adjusted in all the ways. It sits on a circular ball rocker, which sets the head angle. It also has a spot spirit level so you can ensure that it is flat. You can also adjust the horizontal angle and also spin the head around. Finally, the cradle can slide forwards and backwards. It has 3 pins in it (one retractable) which means it can take most things- although clearly a Go Pro would be just lost on something this big. In fact, I would only really use this for larger video recorders, such is the size and weight of it. A lovely piece of kit- and more than you would want on a day to day basis. If you want something which will see your days out and still be going strong, or if you have a larger film recorder- then this is for you. Highly recommended.
