    I bought this stand to convert a monopod selfie stick to free standing to take a small camera, light or in my case as a clip board holder for scripts - alternative and cheap method of tele-prompting. It's well made and of a suitable weight to stand steady. The feet are 13cms long from the centre and click lock open, folding upwards for storage. The screw thread is 3/8in so I had to buy a conversion bush to reduce it to 1/4 in (about £5). There's a ball fitting below the threaded bush which allows adjustment if on uneven ground but there's no spirit level so it's by eye. Whether this would become slack later will remain to be seen - it's stiff enough at present. At the price of £11.49, it's worth a punt!

    Works great -- fits on the bottom of my monopod and when folded up the monopod still fits into its soft case. Only issue was that the first one I ordered was obviously used -- the threading was damaged and the surfaces were scuffed. I returned it and Amazon refunded my cost, I ordered the exact same thing again and this time it was brand new.
