It is easier to open to put the fish on. The other ones I use are too stiff and my wife cannot open them. I have not used it fishing yet because I keep forgetting to take it but a chain is a chain ...until you try to open it. Like I said, easier to open and that is what I really like about it besides the snaps are bigger too.
