Inside the pedal is some metal plate but the rest is all hard plastic to the best of my rememberance as I sold it and my guitar outfit a year ago

My brother says he's only been able to control volume with it so far. Unless you're talking about the 2 smaller pedals, those will change the sound effects and start and stop background music.

The drum beat comes out of the amp speaker and be recorded on any recorder device near the speaker.

NO....its just for accompanied to your guitar background while you play the "lead part" and the drums and your recording of chords and base beat you made in loops recording first make your full band for pleasure.......OK!!!!

It’s good for a lot of uses. It is electronic and it shows- lots of noise and you can hear the math... that said you can also dial in some great sounds and dial out much of the noise. It’s fun for practice, the price is right, and it’s deep enough to dive in to. Forget the “sampler” it’s garbage. You have no control over timing and it’s just junk.

I like the effects this unit has. The display is a lil small and hard to see. But I was surprised at the volume of effects. The modeling mode isn’t as user friendly as I would like. Getting it to repeat in time is not easy. And it should be. It’s decent as an effect pedal though.

It would be accurate to say that this item does what it claims to do. There are 36 presets; numbered from 1A through 9D. There is a wide array of drum beats to choose from and tempo is variable. Each preset can be modified within limits. That is to say, there are several sub-modules within each preset, which can be stepped through in the "edit" mode on the display. Those can be each be adjusted and the new settings for each preset can be saved. There are a few concerns : 1. These presets are sequential, so it is simply not practical to change in the middle of a song. For example if you are playing 1D, your solo comes up, and you want to go to 8C, you would have to hit the foot pad 23 times to get to 8C. 2. It has the ability to record a 40 second phrase. Then the phrase automatically repeats, but I found it relatively difficult to synch with the drums. If you are slightly off when you hit the pedal to stop recording, the beat is going to be out of synch on the repeat. 3. Why only a 40 second phrases ? With today's technology. it could be far longer at almost zero cost. Also, there is no way to save the phrase, so when you shut off the unit, you lose it. Candidly, the jury is still out for me. I like simplicity.

Wow! I don't even know where to begin... I am using this processor with my new Cecilio electric violin. I learned and trained on classical violin, acoustic, reading sheet music, etc, so I'm pretty new at now playing an electric one hooked up to an amplifier, and even newer at using a pedal/processor. Upon first assembly, I found that many of these effects will probably not be used in the music that I play (worship & praise - old school & contemporary), but others will be very useful to bring a new sound to old songs. Also, some of the effects sound very similar to one another. I haven't yet figured out and tried to edit and save any effects to my liking, so I can't really say how well the MG-100 does in that area. But I must say that I am absolutely in love with the drum machine and now even more in love with the looper. I literally just played all the parts of Pachelbel's Canon in D all by myself via use of the looper for each phrase! Smiling from ear-to-ear, I just had to stop and rave about it. As a beginner, I totally recommend it to others looking for a cool starter machine to play around with. I couldn't quite give it 5 stars for a few reasons: 1.Although I can layer as many parts as I want on top of one another, I cannot save the track (however, my husband who is a tech geek, tells me that there's a way to connect to my computer and record my layered tracks that way). Also, I wish there was a way to undo the last layer of overdub if I've messed up... sucks to have 10 layers of perfection, then one layer be off and I can't fix it. 2.Using the pedal as a volume adjuster will take some getting used to - either I end up making it go too loud at the wrong times or I cannot hear myself at all. 3.The loop/overdub button is so close to the pedal, that I end up hitting the pedal when I try to overdub and end up turning my sound down and that phrase is not recorded (But I do love how compact and portable it is, so I'll just have to adjust)
