Absolute bargain, working on the theory "you only get what you pay for" i wasn't expecting the quality to be brilliant, but its excellent. . A couple of the reviews mentioned the rubber twist grips not being very well stuck, and required some double sided tape to fix them , this looks like to have been fixed as mine are solid. Very happy bunny , old age wobble has been vastly reduced.

I agree with the other reviewers. This is a very well made monopod. It flexes quite a lot but that's not because it is badly made, it's because it's so unbelievably light. With the platform and strap removed it weighs just over 1/2lb. There's a 3/8" female thread in both ends for attaching heads, clamps, spikes etc. You will not fully appreciate it's tiny size and weight until you get it in your hand, despite this it is fully usable with a dslr and telephoto lens.

After a long day at London Zoo earlier this year using a full frame dslr, battery grip and fairly weighty 70-200mm 2.8 lens, I toyed with the idea of getting a monopod but didn't want to spend a lot in case I don't use it that much. Having had the follow for months without pulling the trigger, I saw this Andoer alternative for nearly half the price and finally thought 'why not?' at that price. Having taken delivery, I confirm that, as other reviewers have said, it feels very light but well made (for the price). I'm hoping to take it out for a test run in the next couple of days to see if it works as good as it looks but so far it's survived some reasonably heavy 'leaning' tests by yours truly. I will update this review after I've taken out into the wild but early impressions are good.

This worked great for what I needed. I used it as a boom arm along with this: Phot-R 5cm Articulating Magic Friction Super Arm Clip Clamp. I was surprised to find that it has a 1/4 inch screw hole on each end which meant that I could also use it to extend the height of my tripod for various uses (such as for VR lighthouses) or to swap the 1/4 inch screw sphere head to the lighter end of the Monopod for better balance when I used it as a boom arm.

I'm very pleased the reviews for this product were accurate. It's stunning! Seems to be very high quality and ridiculously light! (306g on my scales). Very happy with this purchase. In fact, I'm so happy with it I'm ordering another one right now (before the price goes up or before people cotton onto how much of a bargain this is!!) I was looking for a good monopod, fluid head and monopod stand combination. There are plenty out there but I wasn't happy with any of them so decided to buy separates and build my own. So glad I did now. Yes, it works out more expensive but it's worth it. You know, every now and then you buy something that genuinely puts a smile on your face when it surpasses your expectations. This monopod did just that.

You'd think these are a compromise, at this price point. But actually, they're every bit as good as my Gitzo kit. I use two as supports either end of a motorised Rhino slider. If I need a lightweight monopod for stills work, I won't hesitate to use one of these with a Manfrotto ballhead. I wouldn't be surprised if these come straight out of the Gitzo factory - and you can easily peel off the sticker if you're a brand snob.
