I was unable to use this product and the company would only refund a fraction of the cost. This is not wired for outdoors and the base that goes on the ceiling will not cover a standard US box. Do not purchase this product

The instructions that came with my fixture said ONE 40 watt bulb. I suspect that is in error because the instruction sheet was incredibly poorly written, but I have no way to know. The fixture wiring is rather light so maybe they only want you pulling 40watts total. Mine is hanging 13" from ceiling which was as high as I could hang it. It comes with long wires and you can always retro fit longer wires to hang it as low as you need. Very nice light.

Once you hang it, it is permanent. It comes with 2 thin wires that hold it up. First, I love this fixture. It's solid and just the look I was seeking for the bar in my man cave. But... The installation was fairly straight forward with the exception of the hole locations on the ceiling cover. They provided the cover with only 2 holes at 180 degrees apart. See photos. If I installed it right out of the box, my fixture would have been perpendicular to the length of my bar. Obviously that's not good. So I went to my local hardware store, purchased a drill bit capable of drilling into metal and voila, I had 2 extra holes on the other 180 degree axis. This left me with 4 holes each 90 degrees apart. This would easily accommodate any orientation of the ceiling outlet box. My recommendation to the manufacturer is to provide 4 holes in the ceiling cover NOT 2!!! If you need to provide small rubber grommets or plugs for the unused holes, that would be very thoughtful. That simple fix would have made the installation exponentially simper. Also, please provide installation instructions in ENGLISH. The only instructions I received were in German. Again, gorgeous fixture that works well in my cave. I installed the Edison style LED lamps for extra energy-savings.
