I use this model and buy extra receivers for all my models under 6 changels, it is a great system for the price, as well as the FlySky ground radios I use on my cars/boats. Yes, it will work for up to 6 different inputs

Usually FlySky Transmitter only could bind with FlySky receiver. You could check the dx receiver manual if it could work for FlySky Transmitter

Yes, the radio does have both subtrim and endpoint limiting

Possibly, but that would likely involve opening up the craft, finding the RX module, and temporarily bridging/jumping some of the contact pins (TX/RX bind procedure). Of course, this transmitter also comes with a receiver, so if you can't bind it to the quad as is (and if you can figure out how the RX is wired to the quad's flight controller board), you might be able to swap the factory RX for this one. TL;DR - Generally, RXs are only compatible with TXs of the same brand. see less

My first unit had a bad pot on the roll axis so I returned it for a new unit. While waiting for my replacement I disassembled the radio to see if I could fix it. The pots on this radio are TINY and plastic. I do not expect them to last too long before wearing out. However, the radio is cheap. It's half the price of the next cheapest 6 ch name brand. My replacement radio works great and it has all the features a new pilot needs and a few more. Assuming this radio will survive at least a year of moderate use...it's worth the money.

A cost effective and overall great product. The transmitter feels a little cheap, but its performance works just as advertised. I didn't have a problem binding the transmitter to the included receiver. Setting up the transmitter is also a breeze and there are ton of YouTube videos out there that will talk you step by step through the set up process. What I like about the transmitter is that if you do not have all of the control sticks and switches in the "neutral" position, it will sound a loud alarm prompting you to return the features to neutral. That can save your RC platform! Another thing I like is how the transmitter is incredibly lightweight. Carrying around a ton of gear can get very tiring, but when you have this transmitter in your kit, you can barely tell. It also keeps you from getting fatigued by holding it for long periods of time. If you want to add a lanyard to help support the weight, there is a convenient mount at the center of the controller awaiting a lanyard of your choosing. Overall, I say this product is a good buy. It's simple and relatively cheap (compared to other models), but performs great!

Came in yesterday. Radio felt "TOY LIKE" to me, but I was comparing it to mt fs-t6. I like the part about about using only 4AA's compared to 8 and I like the upgraded receivers I can get for it. I think I'll give it to my club to try out and get they're input on it. I also like the short stubby ant. and the gimbals. I might swap them out on my t6. Funny thing about these cheap as dirt radio's from FlySky is, they don't loose contact, NO RECEIVER MALFUNCTION, just a solid bind ! I have watched others plane fall out of the skies using high dollar radio's while mine stayed in the air. My Parkzone Radian has flown 1500ft plus without any problem and as far as I could see it without any loose of response.. I used to get laughed at, but it was me who laughed at them.. My idea of FlySky is simple; FLYSKY ROCKS !!

This is the perfect starter radio in my opinion. 6 channels is just enough, 10 models is an ample amount of storage space for a beginner, and I have to say the FlySky computer system is unmatched. The features you get for the price, and the wonderfully simple to use GUI is amazing. With this radio I have flown/drove the following; Custom 3D aerobatic Mark IV Spitfire Custom foamie polyhedral motor glider Hobbyking Quanum Nova 350 class quadcopter (highly recommend for open source quad lovers) Custom high torque full rotation servo FPV rover WLToys V912 Helicopter (highly recommend for heli beginners) Custom 330 class quadcopter 550 class tricopter So, I think you get it, the radio is very versatile. Pros: Great for the money UI that in my opinion outdoes Spektrum Cool looking :) Long battery life Tons of features Great feeling gimbals AFHDS2A is a great upgrade from AFHDS in terms of range Cons: Quite small (a little too small for me) Sometimes feels like a toy Switches come loose every few weeks Can't tweak gyros on airplanes (on for heli's) Bottom line: great first TX :)

So far so good for a $60 Transmitter it does the job! Only real issues I have are how sensitive the sticks are. after adjust the Expo's it has helped, but the sensitivity of the stick is still there, wish they offered a way to add a slight bit more tension, throttle stick is already adjust to full tension straight out of the box.. If you are tight on a budget and need a transmitter fast this is pretty good! A lot lighter and thinner then my defective Turnigy 9x, which after the warranty ended I realized it was the transmitter that had sticking pots!!

Bought this transmitter to use with my 250 FPV build and I'm extremely happy with the quality I got for my money. This isn't a professional grade transmitter/receiver combo but it does get the job done. Its the perfect transmitter to feel out the hobby without spending a ton of money. I was also very excited to get it running with my FPV simulator "FPV Freerun" all I had to purchase was Universal USB Flight Simulator FMS Cable Set for Futaba JR Esky cable and plug it into the back of the transmitter. I was up and running in about 5 minutes (on both mac and PC). The menus seem limited but intuitive. It seems like a great option that was well executed and thoughtfully designed. The instructions are lacking but there are tons of resources online to assist in figuring the system out. Pros: Gimbals feel good Really nice grippy thumb-studs on the gimbals Backlit lcd included receiver compatibility with a great deal of flight sims. Size is smaller than comparable options.

Lots of functionality for the price! This is the first radio I've bought since taking a break from the hobby about 15 years ago, and I was shocked by how much you get for so little money. Programming the radio can be a challenge; but after a couple of YouTube videos and a few careful readings of the poorly-written manual and you should start to get the hang of it. One thing to know -- you bind a receiver to the specific model entry you define in the transmitter, not to the transmitter as a whole.

This is a great controller. It has a decent balance between feeling like a solid build, but also staying lightweight for those longwe sessions. My only hangup is that this ships without the cable for updates and without the instructions or user manual. Thankfully those are easily found online. I wish I knew this though; the FS-iA6 receiver that this comes with does not support PPM. I would have preferred to get the FS-iA6b, which does support PPM, but that's my own fault for not researching beforehand. Thankfully with the right cable I can use this with a computer simulator, and in due time, my real quad.

Enough has been said about this Radio System It simply can't be beat for it's price and features. I did my diligence to find the best price and now I see the same Radio can be had for less than what I paid. I find different pricing on things if I'm using a different computer, and whether I'm logged in or not.

SOLUTION! I FIXED IT! As it turned out, the lowest plug, the one where you usually plug in the battery or the esc, IS the first channel!!!! So I plugged the BEC into the 6th channel, and now I have a functional, 5-channel radio WITH aileron, rudder, elevator, throttle, and channel five! I could plug the BEC into my flight controller, but I don't want to risk it. Try that! Why four stars? Because it is a channel short of advertising in the only configuration I could do.
