I saw some people saying this was not an isolated power supply. So I took it apart and compared it to a voodoo lab pedal power 2, and I can tell you they are nearly identical except that the Voodoo uses an extremely low noise (AND HUGE) toroidal transformer. On the other end of the scale, the DC-CORE10 uses surface mount technology components (like your computer mother board) whereas the Voodoo uses older technology to mount and solder the components which are much larger, but not necessarily "better". This is why the Voodoos are so much larger - to accommodate room for those huge components!!! Not all the power coming from the wall is equal. If you live or are gigging in a noisy power area, you may get noise induced through the wall wart that comes with the DC-CORE10. I live in an area that was just switched over from high noise (installed around 1946), to extremely low noise power as they replaced all the power polls in every back yard and street with taller poles so they could run very high voltage. Our old voltage varied during the day from 104 to 117, and now it's 125 all day long. Before they did this I had tried wall wart power and it was awful, which is why I bought the Voodoo. Now I'm needing more pedals and more power so I bought the DC-CORE10 and it's nice and quiet. I don't gig anymore (60 years old) so I don't have to worry about a venue with poor power. If you're going to be gigging around, shell out the big bucks and get the voodoo that's right for youdoo! If you live in a low noise area, and aren't going to be gigging, then by all means save some bucks. Alternately, if you can find a nice 1amp 18V toroidal power supply you could plug that into the DC-CORE10. If you have two bricks you would need 2amp, three bricks would be 3A, etc... Hope this helps to clear up the confusion! Unit aka Allen

This is a great compact power supply. Just hooked it up to a large pedal board, it powering 7- 9volt and 1 - 18v pedals, with 3 other units on the board using their own power supplies, and no there is noise whatsoever. I chose the Mosky over the competition for 2 reasons: it had the lowest cost and there are air vents on each side of the case. It does not offer the single 500ma outlet as some do, all are 100ma, but that was not an issue for me. The 18" cables are good quality and its wall-wart power plug is not overly large and has a decent length cable. I have quite a few OneSpot power supplies and the Mosky compares favorably with the added benefit of single cables to each pedal rather than a daisy-chain, and the blue LED's are cool.

Before getting a really weird sound anomaly, which was 'fixed' by unplugging this and plugging it back in, I'd have given this 5 stars. After that strange event, I'd say that this is good for home use, but might not be as reliable as a musician would want, for gigging. It could just be a problem with the 18v out, as that seemed to be where the odd noise were stemming from during the 'sonic incident'. Anyway, I really liked this, but now am like, 'how reliable is this thing?' Probably can't beat it for the price. I'll have to see/hear -- going forward -- if any more anomalies occur.
