A This FPV just refers to you can use the SD card to save photos and videos of the aircraft in the aerial, but not real-time transmission. thanks.
Sorry, NO. This not a POV type setup. There is one from BANGGOOD, for around 110.00$ but doesnt get good reviews. People say the X5c is much better at flying.

No, there is no headless mode. There is a new model that looks exactly like the Soma X5C that does have headless mode and also return to home, its called the Bayangtoys X8

I purchased this quad in November so I had a few months to practice flying this indoors while I waited for my state to thaw out. I was finally able to take this quad outside and had a good time. The video is very good, the still photos could be better. The slight breeze was a bit of a pain to keep the thing from flying off but not unmanageable. Extra batteries are a must have to continue the fun. I got nervous once when the transmitter seemed to lose connection, but the signal did connect back up. I have posted a video on you tube as I guess I can't post one on here. Check out the link > [...]

Buy extra batteries and a charger with multiple ports. It takes some practice to fly but the learning curve is not bad at all. I was able to fly mine for an hour while cycling the batteries through the multiple port battery charger. It is light and doesn't do too well in winds stronger than 10 MPH. Not my first drone flyer but it's by far my most favorite. The I didn't give it 5 stars because the battery life was horrible. But the extra batteries to cycle through made this a worthwhile investment. The lithium batteries do get hot after they run out in the drone. Not sure if it will do more than get really hot but I fly my drone in my yard.

First drone experience, been flying it for a month, and it is - as everyone will tell you - loads of fun. The X5c is great because its small but not too small, meaning you can still take on the challenge of flying without feeling like its way too easy or basic. It is lightweight and, without the prop guards, very portable (prop guards often keep it from fitting in most cases). The range is indeed pretty limited, once it goes to high or beyond 30 meters or so you start to lose it. Then you take a few steps really quickly and it will suddenly come back to life from a slow free fall. On the downside it is extremely cheap quality, so parts are going to get easily damaged or worn out. I flew it at the beach (don't ever do that!) and landed once very carefully on the sand. I was cleaning sand from the motors for days with a tiny tooth brush and it still hasn't fully recovered. the camera is also pretty poor and not just because of the 2MP, but because it is fixed to the bottom of a drone that is constantly being moved one way or another. Its not very ideal for steady camera shots. I'm looking into camera stabalizer hacks but they're all pretty ugly. Lastly, the range hack, which involves replacing the antenna instead the controller; everyone seems to be doing it successfully- I tried it - killed the controller forever and had to order a replacement. Be careful with this guy!

My son ordered this for me for Father's Day. I like it! It is light durable, agile and has fairly good video quality. Controls are easy to manage; with very little quad copter experience, I was maneuvering this thing quickly through the house with ease. Mode 1 keeps it fairly docile, mode 2 increases maneuverability quite a bit and it does manage light winds pretty well. Quite durable with the prop guards in place. Video is good in daylight or with lights on. Grainy in dim light. I've not shot any video at night. Careful not to descend too quickly or you will get caught up in your turbulence and have a rapid fall to the ground even at full power. Video gets a little wavy in winds or in spirited maneuvers. Range is limited; I'd say 50 yards or so, maybe a little further. Unit comes with 1 battery, it lasts about 7 minutes and takes about an hour and 15 minutes to recharge, so I recommend purchasing multiple batteries and a rapid charger or multi charger. This quad is great for beginners, maybe a little limited for more experienced users. Does not have a return home feature. Make sure if you're flying outdoors you are in a large wide open area and on the upwind side of the field when flying... a football field is too small if you're a beginner... This is a great quad copter for the money.

This was my first experience with drones. The product delivered in full what was promised. Required getting some skills at flying. Skilled 12-yo friend was able to show different modes of flying including turns and flips. Great value for money, keeps everyone entertained. Few notes on the critical side: 1) camera produced poor quality pictures (seen on the computer). For better experience I upgraded to another camera with FVE which gave much better results. 2) It is unclear where is the front of the copter during daytime, so it is hard to get it to fly in the right direction. (Different lights are helpful for night time but on the sun you really can't tell); 3) somehow the cover for the battery fell off during one of the landing (together with camera) - was lucky to find it. Hard to open-close the compartment but need to do it often to charge the battery. I would recommend this model to anyone interested.

Fun! Much better than the first one I bought which wasn't this brand. Found out that one was a knock off of this one. That one was defective right out of the box. Bummer on Christmas morning. Flew helicopters before and you knew front to back so controlling it was a gimmie. My first quad and I'm still working the control input without the obvious picture of theres the front turn that way. Bad news is I also ordered multi battery packs which still haven't arrived after over a month and they still don't show as being shipped yet even though they twice now have said this date then this date and today no date. WWWHHHAAATTT!

I can't say enough about this drone. I'm not a tech guy at all by no means so if I can fly it and keep from tearing it up it means something. It,s easy to operate, easy to sync up, great drone to learn on. It,s pretty tough I've bumped it into a few limbs, chased my dogs and one of them caught it and blade it didn't even scratch him, the drone didn't break, prop didn't even get messed up. Now the camera is a little grainy but better than I thought it would be for the price. I don't like giving 5 stars for anything but this drone is right there. You'll have a blast with it

This little drone is awesome. It is light, portable, and very very easy to fly. I am completely new to drones or anything remote controlled and I can fly this thing easily indoors and outdoors. It can take a LOT of crashes too, especially with the prop guards on. The only problem it has while flying is that if it's windy this drone is so light that it will easily get pushed by the wind, and it also automatically drifts backwards because it is front weighted from the camera. So it can't just hover in the air, you constantly have to push it forward a tiny bit to keep it straight. I never really use it to hover though, so it's not really an issue for me. I got this to practice flying a drone and taking video, and I knew this camera wouldn't be good enough quality for actual photography so I have the x8c as well attached to a 4k action camera, but MAN the camera on this thing sucks. Again, I didn't have high expectations and I only use this for practice, but honestly. It says the camera on the x5c shoots in HD! It does not at all, the video is very grainy and dark. Also, the sounds of the drone flying is so loud that you can't hear anything in the video. I've shot video of my sister yelling into it and it just sounds like mumbling, you cannot distinguish words. Thats the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars, other than the crappy camera which is supposed to be "HD" this drone is awesome and I love it. Very easy to fly, user friendly, stands a lot of crashes, and just really fun!

This is a great toy drone for people who are wanting to get into drones. The image and video quality isn't the best, but it's definitely cool for its price. If you're looking into getting a longer battery life, I would suggest taking off the prop guards and camera. Furthermore, buying an additional battery is always an option if you're looking into flying this drone longer. The drone can go really high, and the lights on the bottom helps determine the orientation of the drone tremendously. All in all, this is great for beginners!

This drone was recommended by a friend, and I've found that if it is flown with care, in the open and AWAY FROM TREES it can be a nice little toy. I like that so many of the replaceable parts are affordable; motors average about $2.50 each. We noticed one motor seemed weaker than the others on our first outing, and before long (and after a day stuck in a tree), the motor didn't have enough torque to spin the rotor. Replacement seems a little convoluted with so many screws to remove plus the need for soldering, but looks doable. Additional batteries are a must, as each charged battery flies for about 7 minutes and takes at least 45 minutes to recharge. The picture and video quality of the camera is surprisingly decent. I'm a bit flummoxed though that the video includes sound, which records only a very loud motor noise while it is in operation. I suspect the quality of these units varies considerably from box to box, but since most of the parts can be replaced -and eventually will have to be anyway- you're only a few solders away from a like-new flying unit. Buy it knowing that additional expenses are a likely part of the equation.

For the price, this is a great little quadcopter. My son got it as a first drone and I bought the JJRC H31 on sale to fly with him. The X5C-1 has a bigger battery (7200mah) and more power in the motors. I like the H31 a lot - (very durable) but the X5C-1 is a superior flier in my opinion. It lasts longer than the H31 due to the battery, and it is quite fast. My son has gotten very good with it. Flips are effortless and you can combine flips with flying stunts easier than the H31. The only thing he has broken on it is the battery cover (small tab came off) and the power switch broke off on an impact. We can still use a small screwdriver to turn it on and off. It has taken quite a few crashes and it keeps on flying - and flying well. I have run it into trees, and the house (accidentally) and my son doesn't bat an eye. It is very durable. As a first drone used to learn how to fly, it is a fun and recommended unit. If it were slightly more durable (plastic battery cover, power switch) I would give it 5 stars. I almost gave it 5 anyway. A great little unit.

I got a great deal on this around the holidays. There are so many of these on the market it is mindboggling. However I choose this one because of the price and the availability of replacement parts. It is a guarantee that I would crash this so we would need to be able to fix it. Well I have crashed it and gotten it stuck in trees, everyday since we got it, and so far it had taken my abuse. Additionally the photos and videos are much more clear and bright than I would have expected. We have so much fun with it! My only complaint is the shirt battery life. 7 minutes flying time for a 75 minute charge. If we keep playing with it as much as we have been than it will be worth it for me to purchase additional batteries.

This quadcopter/drone is a TON of fun to fly. I have flown it indoors a bunch and outdoors twice. Don't let the price fool you, this thing can get WAY up in the air. I am still learning to fly it, so I installed the propeller guards which makes the drone that much more durable. I have hit walls, ceilings, and other obstacles - and all I need to do is apply the trim to get her flying right again. Definitely buy it online, I have seen this EXACT device for three times as much in the mall. One thing I read in the blogs is that the more expensive the drone, the easier it is to fly (GPS, waypoints, target tracking, obstacle avoidance, etc.). This is not an expensive drone. However, I am having fun learning all the same.

This is an impressive amount of tech for around fifty bucks. The copter is imminently stable and flyable, and the camera captures nice footage considering the price. While probably a standard feature in quadcopters of this class, the removable battery is much appreciated after owning several copters with non-replaceable batteries that die prematurely. The copter is sturdy enough and is still in good working order after quite a few flights and a couple of less-than-graceful landings. The sometimes poorly-translated manual and the trim knob arbitrarily re-purposed as camera control button attest to the sacrifices that need to be made to meet the price point, but all in all this is a fun and worthwhile toy.

Just to clarify this is the upgraded version. I was really confused on which product to but as they were quiet a few products out there. I have literally no quad copter flying experience and therefore did not want to invest a lot until I perfected my flying. After a lot of good reviews I decided to buy this one. I am not disappointed. It's very easy to fly and has sustained brutal indoor crashes. Setup is very easy and takes a few minutes. Concluding i would highly suggest this. Pro's Great for learning and flies great indoor Great value for money Sustains hard crashes Con's A bit difficult to fly even with moderate winds Camera quality is poor Needs a lot of fine tuning to make it hover

Got this as a gift. My first drone and super easy to fly. Very responsive but not overly so. I painted the front props to make it easier to orient forward movement. Couldn't recommend a better drone for someone just learning the fun of flying drones. **Update** - I've had this drone for about two weeks now and love it even more. I've put it in two trees and have luckily managed to get it back. Not the drones fault, completely my fault. This thing is pretty durable as I used a football to get it down from one tree and it has taken hard landing after hard landing from flights with the kids at the controls. All in all I would highly recommend this drone to anyone looking for a solid, beginner drone.

Christmas day, Boy-o gets his new drone stuck 80 feet up in a tree. Five days later, we manage to get it down. I recommend purchasing a slingshot and some 1 oz weights with this item (I am assuming you have a fishing pole). Five days, three of which were heavy rain, being shaken with the branch it was stuck on, then tumbling to the earth, striking the tree nine or ten times on the way down. Once retrieved, we put in the spare battery we'd purchased. Perfect picture, good video, no need to replace the blades. The only issue was that it wanted to fly backwards, which my son fixed with a simple adjustment from the controller. I've bought a lot of RC items for my sons over the years; this is the only one that was worth the money.

So, I'm completely new to the quad flying thing, this thing is awesome. Very easy to learn on, once you figure out the controls. A couple times outside I took it up beyond my comfort level ( got some great pictures) when I felt it was getting away from me I killed the throttle and let it fall back to the ground at about 100 feet I throttled back up to full recovery, no issues, complete control again. As far as durability, fantastic, I've bounced this thing off of everything possible (trees, kids, walls, ceiling fan, cars, roof and 1 very moody harrier hound...) had it stuck in a tree over night, threw a football and knocked it down, new battery and it was good to go. Only knock against this thing is battery life, buy the 4 600mh batteries and charger for them and enjoy, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.......

For the price, this is great. My husband hasn't stopped playing with it since Christmas. He needed quite a bit of practice before he could really navigate it, but that was a fun challenge for him. He has taken photos and videos all over our neighborhood. He said it's really durable but he ordered extra replacement blades for future - it falls pretty hard when it falls! He also ordered extra battery packs so he can go beyond the 7 minutes of the original battery included. I would really recommend this for any geek of toys & electronics, boy or man!

My husband LOVES this. Only problem is it's stuck 100 ft up in a tree right now. His recommendation.. It doesn't have the best control when too far out of range. Keep it within a safe range.. He took it up very high.. and then it lost range.. and kept going in the direction it last had the signal to go (up) and went into tree. He won't use it in a large field again, trying to get it as high as he can.. Lost range. He loves it though, and bought another one. Also recently it needed 'recallabrated'.. Watched You Tube video and it works great again!
