A This FPV just refers to you can use the SD card to save photos and videos of the aircraft in the aerial, but not real-time transmission. thanks.
Sorry, NO. This not a POV type setup. There is one from BANGGOOD, for around 110.00$ but doesnt get good reviews. People say the X5c is much better at flying.

No, there is no headless mode. There is a new model that looks exactly like the Soma X5C that does have headless mode and also return to home, its called the Bayangtoys X8

Yes. You view what the camera sees on a "smartphone".

This drone far surpasses previous flying toys we have owned. We have gone through several helicopters only to be disappointed very quickly with their performance and durability. I purchased this for me as my toy and wouldn't let me near adult kids play with it until I had a chance first. Of course both of them are better skillled flying it than I am. Today's youth who play video games will take to the controls like a natural, for me, I need time. BUT I was able to get it staight off the ground on the first try and was able to easier retrieve it out of nearby trees before the short-lived battery ran out of juice. I should purchase another battery because I need more practice to learn how to fly this drone. Great deal for the price. Very pleased with my purchase.

An inexpensive drone, with good capabilities. The camera/video leaves a lot to be desired (the pictures are about the same as a 10 year old flip phone), but that wasn't a purchasing reason, so the fact there's anything is just a bonus. Battery life is good, range has yet to be a problem (and I've gone out to around 150 yards, which is getting pretty hard to see), performance/speed is acceptable. I'm not sure how easy this is to fly for a beginner (I've been flying helicopters for years, so it's second nature), but it met my expectations, and did it at a great price point.

I bought this for my 11 yo son for Christmas. On it's maiden voyage he flew it into a tree rather high off the ground. The next day it snowed, sleeted and rained (we live in CT)...It remained in the tree for several days and the wind knocked it down to a more manageable height. We finally knocked it out of the tree with a football, charged it up and it was fine! The only reason it's not getting 5 stars is because the SD card for the camera is super small and we didn't receive an adapter for our computer. Otherwise, he loves it! Says it's super easy to fly and the range seems to exceed the specified 50 meters.

Against my wishes, my husband decided to fly this right outside our home and within 10 minutes, had it stuck in a tree. We tried our best to get it out of the tree but my husband basicly had to climb the tree and knock it out. The batteries lasted the entire time, but the machine won't fly anymore. I have ordered a bunch of new gears and new motors and my husband will have to rebuild it and hopefully avoid trees next time. He's on his own if he trees it again. This gets four stars because it worked really well for the whole 10 minutes before it got stuck. Never even tried out the camera. lol

I was surprised, because I was, supposed to get, The Syma, X5C, but the seller sent me the X5C-1 It is an upgrade Of the RC, controls, I bought extra batties, and I am happy I did, I have had it, 2 weeks, I already want to upgrade The range is good, and the camera ok. I am having a good time with it, lots of fun, for a 64yr old retired guy,,I have Mastered inside flying, but I don't recomend it,,,! I want to thank the seller in China for expediting, the shipping, great little quad, for the money,,

I can't say enough about this drone. I'm not a tech guy at all by no means so if I can fly it and keep from tearing it up it means something. It,s easy to operate, easy to sync up, great drone to learn on. It,s pretty tough I've bumped it into a few limbs, chased my dogs and one of them caught it and blade it didn't even scratch him, the drone didn't break, prop didn't even get messed up. Now the camera is a little grainy but better than I thought it would be for the price. I don't like giving 5 stars for anything but this drone is right there. You'll have a blast with it

This is a great toy drone for people who are wanting to get into drones. The image and video quality isn't the best, but it's definitely cool for its price. If you're looking into getting a longer battery life, I would suggest taking off the prop guards and camera. Furthermore, buying an additional battery is always an option if you're looking into flying this drone longer. The drone can go really high, and the lights on the bottom helps determine the orientation of the drone tremendously. All in all, this is great for beginners!

This drone was recommended by a friend, and I've found that if it is flown with care, in the open and AWAY FROM TREES it can be a nice little toy. I like that so many of the replaceable parts are affordable; motors average about $2.50 each. We noticed one motor seemed weaker than the others on our first outing, and before long (and after a day stuck in a tree), the motor didn't have enough torque to spin the rotor. Replacement seems a little convoluted with so many screws to remove plus the need for soldering, but looks doable. Additional batteries are a must, as each charged battery flies for about 7 minutes and takes at least 45 minutes to recharge. The picture and video quality of the camera is surprisingly decent. I'm a bit flummoxed though that the video includes sound, which records only a very loud motor noise while it is in operation. I suspect the quality of these units varies considerably from box to box, but since most of the parts can be replaced -and eventually will have to be anyway- you're only a few solders away from a like-new flying unit. Buy it knowing that additional expenses are a likely part of the equation.

For the price, this is a great little quadcopter. My son got it as a first drone and I bought the JJRC H31 on sale to fly with him. The X5C-1 has a bigger battery (7200mah) and more power in the motors. I like the H31 a lot - (very durable) but the X5C-1 is a superior flier in my opinion. It lasts longer than the H31 due to the battery, and it is quite fast. My son has gotten very good with it. Flips are effortless and you can combine flips with flying stunts easier than the H31. The only thing he has broken on it is the battery cover (small tab came off) and the power switch broke off on an impact. We can still use a small screwdriver to turn it on and off. It has taken quite a few crashes and it keeps on flying - and flying well. I have run it into trees, and the house (accidentally) and my son doesn't bat an eye. It is very durable. As a first drone used to learn how to fly, it is a fun and recommended unit. If it were slightly more durable (plastic battery cover, power switch) I would give it 5 stars. I almost gave it 5 anyway. A great little unit.

Well mine just flew away all on its own. I was flying it in the back yard, nothing higher than 30 feet, in a tree protected large yard. Suddenly, it just revved to max throttle, and took off straight up. I turned of the controller, but quad continued to climb, it rotated and flew off over a 100 acre wetland. Just great. The sad part is I had started to really enjoy it. Come home from a stressful day at work, go out in my excellent backyard, and fly my quad. Added a 600mah battery and it flew even better. Flew it in the house, had it up to mode 2, got my rotating and turning and banking down. Bot sure I will buy another yet, still kind of bummed. Up Up and away, see ya, zoom, gone!

I bought this as a gift for an eleven year old, it is a very good starter drone. It has some weight to it, so it can recover from a fall and can handle some breeze. I do not like that I do not know if I am recording, it would be nice to see that on the remote display. I would recommend this drone for a starter, I can get up to approx. 30 feet and still have control, I do not know about the flips, it can also zip around pretty quickly, which makes it more fun. Battery life is about what I expected 15-18 minutes flight not including crash time and videoing.

Ignore the bad reviews below me. It DOES come with a battery charger, and the other 1 star review claims his son flew it away....well duh! If you can't fly it properly it WILL fly away. This is a 5 star "starter" drone. The camera works, and takes mediocre pics and videos. Definitely nothing to frame or post on youtube, but still it's a cool little camera and it even comes with an SD card and 4 extra propeller blades. Very easy to get out of the box and start flying, I had mine in the air in 10 minutes. Controller is easy to get the hang of and after 5 minutes of flight time I was really starting to get the hang of it. The battery life is 5-10 minutes and there is only 1 battery included. Order some extra batteries!

After reading tons of reviews on different versions of small camera drones, I decided on this one. I made a great choice! I gave this to hubby for Christmas and he loves it! He has used it everyday and I have never seen such a smile on his face. It took him a few tries to get the hang of it. I bought him two extra batteries and a repair kit in case he broke anything right away. Nothing like a new toy and waiting on parts. I ordered and received the Syma X5C-1 that came in a box marked the same. I bought from a USA seller to avoid being scammed with a replica. I highly recommend this version.

This quadcopter is great for a beginner and someone looking to learn. It is not HD don't expect it. It cannot stream to your phone or anything crazy, but you have to remember how much you paid. It is worth the money, and I love mine. As long as I'm not near water and a lot of trees I would teach a six year old with it. It's not meant for racing, though it can be pretty fast. Before you do anything read the instructions about how to trim it and make sure you understand it and do it before you fly. Other than that Syma's are excellent for the price. I would highly recommend it.

Got this as a gift. My first drone and super easy to fly. Very responsive but not overly so. I painted the front props to make it easier to orient forward movement. Couldn't recommend a better drone for someone just learning the fun of flying drones. **Update** - I've had this drone for about two weeks now and love it even more. I've put it in two trees and have luckily managed to get it back. Not the drones fault, completely my fault. This thing is pretty durable as I used a football to get it down from one tree and it has taken hard landing after hard landing from flights with the kids at the controls. All in all I would highly recommend this drone to anyone looking for a solid, beginner drone.

This however, is incredible. I don't know why the average isn't five stars. Most of the times, you say "good for the price", this drone I will say it's underpriced! Seriously, not only does it shoot photos and video, it comes with a USB to Micro-SD adapter (that looks good and doesn't need any drivers) and a 4gb Micro-SD card! It's extremely rare to find anything anymore that comes with a free SD card! The photos tend to have a lot of contrast, which is very pleasing to the eye. Also, in videos, I noticed the Auto White Balance is EXTREMELY quick! And the photos haven't came out blurry so far, so that's good, most small cameras need a long exposure (which means it takes longer to take the photo), so that really shocked me. The flying experience is amazing. Just read the manual first, because I lost my first one in the woods... yeah... It has bright LEDs on both sides to show which is front and which is back. That's useful. I learned the controls very quickly, and I'm someone who hates to read manuals (it has a lot of grammatical errors and typos, but it's understandable) It can take a decent drop for the body weighing less than the battery! Speaking of which, the battery is the only complaint. Like most flying RC vehicles, it takes a long time to charge (an hour) and not much flying time (a little less than 10 minutes), so I suggest you plan what you're going to do. Overall this is an amazing quadcopter and if you're responsible enough to not lose it (like I the irresponsible freshman did...), GET ONE NOW! :D

Christmas day, Boy-o gets his new drone stuck 80 feet up in a tree. Five days later, we manage to get it down. I recommend purchasing a slingshot and some 1 oz weights with this item (I am assuming you have a fishing pole). Five days, three of which were heavy rain, being shaken with the branch it was stuck on, then tumbling to the earth, striking the tree nine or ten times on the way down. Once retrieved, we put in the spare battery we'd purchased. Perfect picture, good video, no need to replace the blades. The only issue was that it wanted to fly backwards, which my son fixed with a simple adjustment from the controller. I've bought a lot of RC items for my sons over the years; this is the only one that was worth the money.

So, I'm completely new to the quad flying thing, this thing is awesome. Very easy to learn on, once you figure out the controls. A couple times outside I took it up beyond my comfort level ( got some great pictures) when I felt it was getting away from me I killed the throttle and let it fall back to the ground at about 100 feet I throttled back up to full recovery, no issues, complete control again. As far as durability, fantastic, I've bounced this thing off of everything possible (trees, kids, walls, ceiling fan, cars, roof and 1 very moody harrier hound...) had it stuck in a tree over night, threw a football and knocked it down, new battery and it was good to go. Only knock against this thing is battery life, buy the 4 600mh batteries and charger for them and enjoy, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.......

It was challenging to fly once you are no longer facing the original direction (I could never fully get my head around it), but it was great fun while it lasted. It was pretty cool to fly it right at me and catch it out of the air with my hand. Because it's light-weight plastic it's pretty resilient and endured all manner of smacks and falls. Unfortunately I got it stuck in a tree, and when I went back the next day to retrieve it, someone had stolen it, but it was fun for several weeks. It drove my dog nuts when I would buzz around his head. I mainly got this one to practice getting comfortable with a drone before ordering a nice one to use for videos, and although I wish I hadn't lost it, I think it accomplished that purpose. I expect to order a higher-quality one before long.

very great for a beginner the downfall is that once you put the guards on the quad copter it does eat up the battery. the company itself did not give me a tracking number of any sort. the range is very good when flying up to the air. so far I have taking it out quite a few times the battery does last about 10 minutes. the controller is pretty good but that the actual joysticks is a little touchy. there is a slight delay in the controller to the quad copter. the packaging itself was really good it did come with the charging cord and a basic tool set with a couple extra propellers. flying the actual quadcopter is fairly easy once you get the hang of it I do advise getting a couple more batteries. the video quality is not too bad but the card itself does up pretty quickly. after flying the quad copter in the sky going straight up it has arranged or a top out range of 350 feet, then it starts to lose control then falls from the sky. that is all I can think of right off the top of my head thanks for reading this! Happy flying!
