depend on what brain you are using ion you used a cc3 it will get calibrated on the computer as you do the set up if you want to calibrate the esc by it self you can do it with the radio or they sell a calibration small board and they can be calibrated with that.

If you are talking about a flight controller i would get the KK2.1.5. It is easy to setup and you don't have to worry about cutting the BEC cable.

Manufacturer suggests 2-3s. Going higher than 3s could result in damage. They work well for me with 5200 20C 3s Lipos. As long as they all work out of the box and are calibrated correctly, you can't beat the price.

I have a -KK2.1.5 with 980kv motors & a Naze32 full with 1100kv motors and both run fine so you should have no problem your CC3D controller. Most CC3D users are 250 mini racer fans if this your choice then the 30 amp may be overkill and over weight .
