Questions & Answers
Yes. Although if you have a plug that has the wide neutral prong you may have to firmly insert as the plastic sockets are slightly small for that wide prong. But once inserted it works fine.

My Docooler has worked as advertised out of the box. Follow the chinglish steps. Install the SIM card before plugging it in. After plugging it in observe the SET/SIG light on the panel. 1 second flash during initialization and a 4 seconds flash when the unit has accessed the GSM network. If this doesn't work make sure the SIM card is active. T-mobile will deactivate the card if the account is inactive for a period of time. A call to T-Mobile will verify that the card is active. Seems obvious but check that the SIM card is oriented properly. Hope this helps. see less

It's compatible with sprint and tmobile Sims. I use mine to remotely tureen on an engine oil heater in a remotely located garage. I had no success grunt a simcard from the local Sprint Store. Thru absolutely would not sell me anything without a one year contract with a data plan for $45/month. I called Sprint and told them what I was doing and they knew better than I did what I needed. The card was a few dollars and the service is a few dollars a month for about 10 texts, tested as minutes. After that, it's about a quarter. These simcard are the same they use in third world countries worth minimum service. I think a ting card would work, too. The digital confirmation voice is difficult to understand when programming. There are written instructions included and a YouTube video to watch that makes the voice unnecessary. You set up your password, the unit identifies your text by caller i.d., so no one with your password can hack in. You can turn on all, or one socket. It texts you back a confirmation, so you know it's on. It took me an hour to program, the first time, but once learned, it takes 5 minutes. Steal shed walls can block the cell signal, just like any phone. If the box locks up from bad commands, simply unplug it and repower to reboot. I recommend. see less

The AC receptacles weren't properly aligned and wouldn't accept my power cords. I had to tweak an old extension cord to nudge them into compliance (narrowed the blades) and finally got them to accept. While this was not unexpected of an import product, I think the MFG could do better quality control. The cellular controls work like a champ, so far. Customer support provided better instructions, with more understandable English, almost immediately after my request. The unique nature of this product compels me to give 4 stars. I hope it stands the test of time.

I purchased this to use to turn on an airplane EZheater in a hanger Use tracfone SIM card and plan. Works great! I text the unit an hour or so before leaving my house, it texts back and says which outlets are on/off. Instructions were in broken English but was able to figure them out. Hardest part was getting SIM card turned on. Had to activate online, then verify the new phone number for the unit. Since the unit can't display phone numbers I was stuck for a bit. Tried calling tracfone couldn't get ahold of any human. Ended up going to the online account and found the phone number buried somewhere online in the account. After I verified the number it's been working great. Only use with text messages. Haven't tried calling the unit. No problems with cords heating up like other reviewer. Also no problems with outlets not turning on so far. Watch what the limits are for wattage etc on what you plug in. I also have it plugged into a surge protector just in case.

I was very hesitant on this purchase because there were ZERO reviews on it. However I'm very satisfied, I have a Synology Media Server that allows me to remotely watch movies & TV on my mobile devices and through web browsers but occasionally my router, modem, or even the Synology Server lock up. This device allows me to remotely reboot each device either one at a time or all together just by sending a text message! I purchased a prepaid T-Mobile SIM along with it. Initially I had quite a bit of confusion because the activation of the SIM on their website asks for the devices IMEI number but it doesn't have one for some reason, but I found an article stating to just put in all 9's which didn't work but then I tried replacing one of the 9's with a 1 and it finally accepted it! I don't have to use it often because my devices don't freeze up very often, but when one of them does this thing is a God send!!!
