if you want to use this to record what it see then don't get this, as to night vision if it has it don't work very well or not at all, as a web can to chat with yahoo it works fine.

The camera does not turn on any lights except when the switch is moved to the right, then the lights come on

You plug it in via USB and then when you open whatever program you are using the camera with it should work.

No. It is very basic. You can move the head a little, but only with difficulty. I also found that sometimes skype will not broadcast from it if the bandwidth is running just a little slower than normal.

picture is so so. It is not HD in my book. But for the price , it is a very good camera. I use it every day and would buy another if needed. As too MP, I really don't know.
