I can't say for sure, because I don't have the 4 (getting it soon, though). My guess would be that it does, but if it doesn't, I'm sure it's just a firmware update away from being compatible.

This remote doesn't use the app at all, it directly connects to the crane. The app also directly connect to the crane and requires no internet. It does for panasonic so im sure for canon it does since zhiyun has more functions on canon than other brands
