No... it's for curing gel. It won't hurt your polish, but it probably won't decrease drying time either.

Strictly speaking this lamp is a LED lamp but the "lamp bulb" that you saw is include two kinds of light wave which is LED & UV by using new technology. So that it`s why the lamp can cure UV and LED gel polish at the same time. Hope this answer can help you.

It has to be plugged into the wall or a power bank. Power bank is not included but standard USB cord is.

She was very skeptical and was suprised that it worked great. She used it for hard gel and gel topcoat. I have used it personally for both as well and am very pleased. It doesn't come with a charging bank, just the power cord. It also doesn't have an auto shut off, it counts from 1-99 seconds. Three is anon digital model that has auto shut off though. I would buy again...I hope this is helpful.! see less

I was skeptical about this lamp at first, and much more when I recieved it, but after I used it, it really blown my mind; this lamp works execelent, is portable, but big enough to cure all five fingers or toes. What I really like about it's the screen that shows the time in seconds that the hand has been there. On the bad side, it doesn't have a timer, but for me that's ok. Overall it's a fantastic lamp, and very simple and easy to use and store. ---------------- (from here, I talk more about the radiation from nail lamps, if you are interested keep reading) ------ On a very side note; not really regarding this specific lamp, but any short wave electromagnetic spectrum emitting device (or in this case, nail lamps),is the radiation involved. After reading the wavelength it emits (365 to 450 nm or so) it's the same or even a little more than the typical UV light lamp, or better said, it is in the UV A classification of the spectrum; so don't be fooled about the thing of -oh it's LED technology, it's not harmful as UV- because it's the same, in fact a little more than your regular UV frequency emmited by a UV bulb. The risk is relatively the same as a regular UV bulb lamp because the time of exposure. This kind of things you should know with the most basic physics knowledge supposedly so acquired in high school. How harmful it can be? Actually not much, or depending on the time of exposure. Regardless if you are using UV, LED or a mixed lamp, you get more risk of getting cancer, or any of the harmful effects from radiation acquired by the exposure to short wavelength electromagnetic rays during your daily life activities, than from solely using the lamp once, twice or even three times a week for a few minutes each time. The real risk comes if you thinking on leaving your hand/ foot under the lamp for hours and hours (which I don't know any nail lamp that let you or 'lives' to the task, other than tan beds) So if you are so concerned about this, get some protection gloves or use some sun block lotion that protect you from UVA rays.

I wanted to try doing a gel manicure at home, and this seemed reasonably priced. I was not disappointed. It took me a while to figure out that the gel doesn't actually "dry" under the lights, no matter how long you leave them under there, they still come out tacky. They are actually cured after only one cycle (99 seconds) under the light, you just need to wipe them down with an alcohol-soaked cotton square after they come out and voila! You're good to go!

This little light is awesome! It easily cures gel/shellac nail polishes in one minute or less. Lots of bang for your buck. Would highly recommend for those looking for a nice little portable nail light! I had no problem learning to use it as a beginner. Plus the lime green color?!? Like, TOTES adorbs, OMG.
