Teapot - yes, but be careful of the plastic lid knob - heat resistant but direct flame not recommended. It only holds two cups of water so it just takes a very short while to heat. No need for full impact direct fire.

Filled to the rim, exactly 4 cups.

No. This is made completely aluminum. A magnet will not stick to this at all.

I don't know the exact amount of time but this is not an insulated kettle. You will want to use the water pretty much immediately. It's primary purpose is to be light weight. When I used it, I turned my burner on every time I wanted to use it.

The truth is that 95%. of the time, all I really need for backpacking is a small fry pan and something to boil water. This little guy does the boiling better than most anything else I’ve tried due to its increased surface area. Also with the extra surface area comes increased stability. It’s light as heck anodized aluminum and holds just enough water for me to heat up a Mountain House and coffee. Takes up almost no room in my pack. You can also stuff the inside with coffee,tea,sugar,salt/pepper or more. One star for being made in China 🇨🇳 .Highly recommend. Thanks for reading

I heavily used it through about 2 weeks straight of just camping. It's a hardy little kettle. If you want hot water while camping, this is what you should use. Note, please used some sort of oven mitt when handling. The black grip bar get very hot. So if you do get this, I recommend bringing an oven mitt or something to grab and pour the kettle. This champ gets hot in about 5-10 minutes depending on how intense the fire is. Easy to use and operate, and easy to transport. It's small but can hold a decent amount of water. Like 2-3 water bottles.

I bought this kettle to take camping and when it arrived and I got my first look at it I actually cursed out loud, thinking it was either a ripoff or they accidentally sent a toy version of what I ordered. It's really teeny, like palm-sized. And it is practically weightless- the cardboard box it came in is heavier. Somehow though, it is actually bigger on the inside than it is on the outside, and even though it looks like it would only be appropriate for filling a few thimble sized teacups at a teddy bear picnic, it actually holds enough water to fill four standard size coffee mugs. It is a magical marvel of engineering! Or possibly my perception and of things like capacity and cubic volume is seriously flawed. Still, highly recommended.

I am recently back into camping, and bit by bit I am perfecting what I take with me (just car camping, not backpacking). I was using a little pot to boil water in for coffee, hot chocolate, ramen noodles, etc, but it was hard to maneuver with spillage. I did see a smaller pot than this one, but went with this one anyway. I am very glad I did. It is small, yes, but holds plenty for a couple of cups of coffee, or noodles, or whatever. The lid DOES NOT fit tightly, it's only drawback, but it is easy to keep a finger on it while pouring if necessary. This is lightweight, easy to clean, and comes in it's own mesh storage bag. It was perfect for me.

Helps boils water quick (I just dehydrate meals), packs tiny. This also fits my homemade alcohol stove setup (mine requires no potstand), 6 oz fuel container, small box of matches and lighter inside of the unit with no problems. Lightweight and a great cheap buy. I'm definitely liking it. In my personal Quality/cheap ratio this definitely leans in torwards quality by a lot. Nothing to complain about. Update:also fits my gas canister stove setup inside too. 4oz canister, brs stove, lighter. Has been holding up great to use. Love how light this thing is for the amount of water it can hold!

Shipping took FOREVER - coming from China. But the little pot is perfect for camping. Holds just over 4 cups, looks tiny but that amount does fully fill 2 coffee mugs. The good thing about a smaller pot is it doesn't take as long to heat up. My sister has a steel one from Wally World, a percolator, and it never will come to a boil because it's so big and the metal is so thin. BE WARNED - this item is not returnable. But if you know it won't get there for 2 - 3 weeks, you should be happy when it arrives.

The capacity is small (I can just about fill up a 1-liter thermos if it's filled to the brim), but that's fine for 1-2 people. Very lightweight and the top is flat so it fits in a small box. The metal is thin so it cools down quickly as well (nice when you don't have a place to put it to cool off). The spout is a little steep, due to the need for compactness, so pouring can be at a bit of an awkward angle when first pouring out of a very full pot, and when getting the last bits out of a nearly empty pot. but if you're looking for something lightweight for camping or backpacking, this works well.

I haven't tried enough camp tea kettles to give a definitive comparison, but this is certainly the best kettle I have used in a camp site. Water heats up extremely quick, even on my little stove. It holds enough water to fill my thermos, which keeps the water hot for hours after. It's a great combination. The kettle is extremely lightweight. The lid did seem a little unstable - like it might come off when I tipped the kettle over - but I never had any problem with it. Just keep a finger on it when you pour I guess. With the amount of hot water you need at a campsite, I would say that this is an essential piece of equipment. PROS: • lightweight • holds a good amount of water • heats quickly • pours easily CONS: • lid is slightly loose

Great little light kettle. I just carried this thing through 35 miles of backcountry and am pleased with its size, weight and utility. Be aware, this is a small kettle, only 1 Liter. Some reviewers seem surprised that it is too small..... perhaps they should have bought a 2 L? Other reviewers stated that this would pour better if the spout protruded to the side like a normal kettle. That is true, but then it would fit less well in your pack.

Excellent kettle. Pros: Lightweight, compact, wide lid, large handle, holds a lot, reasonable price. Cons: Lid does not jam tight. Falls off when tilting to pour. This should be addressed. Very good for RV, backpacking, camping. It hold a lot of water, about 4 - 5 cups. Very compact and lightweight with a pleasing design. Heartily recommend to RV'ers.
