Is it usable for exterior doors?

  • The 2 I bought are for my exterior doors that are BEHIND storm doors, fortunately they don't need the lights. However they work GREAT and are exactly what I needed to be able to see my deadbolts that WERE hidden in the dark door jam area.

      The description says it lights up for 4 seconds and it does. I wanted to see if it would work on a kitchen closet so I bought one. It works well, but I'm going to go with something else for my purposes.

      It does exactly what I wanted it to do.....light up my door lock. TIP: make sure you stick it on the door while the door is closed so you place it in the right spot.

      Works very well. Long battery life, plenty of light. I used them in my hallway as nightlights and one on my front door above the locks - so when we come home after dark we can see to unlock the door. Made a great small gift for our best friend and neighbor.

      This thing is great! I have had this for about a week. It is not overly sensative and I have only seen it light up when I am using the door. As others have said it still activates in the day time but that is not a big deal for me. I do have it on my front door behind a storm door, so I am a little concerned that the temperature range is only 100F, but we have had a few hot days and havent had any issues so far.

      Works perfectly. Mounts to any dark area you need a little light to see for a few seconds. Great for key entry, dark drawer, etc. Light shines for about 10 seconds. Works with motion and senses your presence.

      I love this lite! I live in the deep dark country and don't like leaving my porch lights on because they attract swarms of insects to my porch and screen door. But when I left my lights off and come in from work at night, It is almost to dark to see your hand in front of your face let alone find the right key and they keyhole on the door. I ordered this light and it arrived in just days. The installation took about a minute and "Whammao"!!! Bright light over my keyhole. The unit includes a built in motion detector that switches the light as soon as I open my screen door. It turns itself off a few seconds after the motion stops. Item requires one "AA" battery which is not included and I have not had the unit long enough to tell you how long the battery last. I do believe the shipping was included in the item price and the adhesive pad to install it is included. It can also be installed with screws if you prefer. I can think of dozens of fantastic uses for this item and I will certainly be ordering more of them! The only

      OKAY so this is really really really a great product. It's a plastic body, paint looks like it was sprayed on! It's a light layer of paint but that doesn't matter because you are not toching it everyday. It really works so well. It turns on everytime you open the door. Also it lasts for about 10-12 sec which is just enough to unlock the door. It only turns on if you are close to it. It's bring brought to look for keys in your bag. Also I like it that it scared intruders because if they come close to the doorknob it turns on the light and I can see their face on the camera!
