    I purchased this rod to use to take a 10 year old fishing for Carp and Catfish. Wanted to catch some larger fish for him to fight vs the common sunfish most kids fish for. Side by side vs a conventional rod setup this rod out performs any other setup with the same bait and method feeder. I have caught more fish in the last three weeks than I have in a season. Although I purchased for kids I have ended up purchasing another one and it is my rod of choice to consistently catch fish. This rod is great and so much fun to trigger the spring when a fish hooks. I highly recommend this rod. It will get kids to fish while keeping them entertained and wanting to go out. I don’t give reviews often but I really recommend this rod it is fun for kids and adults. For the price give it a try with the right hair rig homemade boilies and method feeder bait you will outperform the common rod. Look up method feeder on you tube. Carp are not commonly fished for in the US but they are an amazing fight and fun to catch. 12 total over the weekend to include 3 cats and a 30lb turtle. All catch and release of course.
