Remove the installed batteries and put them somewhere safe. Take the receiver and place it in the battery compartment and replace the door. Take your new assembly and throw it in the garbage where it belongs and order a new TX/RX combo. These consistently lose signal, jitter, studder, and randomly peg out inputs. I swapped in an Axial combo to see if it was my ESC or Servo. It wasn't. see less

If you are talking about a real skateboard, I would not recommend it. A small RC skateboard, sure with the right components.

I love mine. It's inexpensive but works great. I really like the 3 way throttle setting (LMH) for when I'm crawling. I bought one and then some spare receivers since they are so easy to bind. It's lightweight but doesn't feel cheap. Good feel to the grip and wheel. Throttle and Steering trim. Steering rate. And agai… see more I love mine. It's inexpensive but works great. Good feel to the grip and wheel. Throttle and Steering trim. Steering rate. And again, a LMH setting for the throttle. It's nice on my D90 to slow it down so I don't do wheelies when I'm crawling with it. I use this for my Orlandoo Jeep and my 1/10 D90. Channel 3 is only a push-button so 2 Settings (full left, full right on a servo), not good for a winch. see less

The reciever included with this radio is a micro rx so yes it will fit the rx box on the stampede as well as most other rx boxes.

By glenn ahrensfeld on March 1, 2018
Yes, and it is already bound to the receiver it comes with.

My only problem with this is the quality to price ratio. I bought my son a 75 dollar rc car and we bought this to upgrade to a brushless system. The remote that came with the car was much nicer and seemed to be of better quality. This remote gets the job done but it might be worth paying more and getting something nicer than a stock remote

I would NOT recommend this for kids of any age, or someone who is brand new to the hobby. The steering knob assembly is made completely out of weaker plastics, and easily breaks with just a little bit of force. For someone who might apply a bit of extra force out of spur of the moment reaction, will likely find themselves breaking the knob. The plastic that limits the turning radius of the wheel is what breaks, making it difficult to impossible to use. Once the knob is broken there’s no way to fix it. However, if you have experience and/or don’t have any issues controlling the radio, this would be a 3 star product for the price I purchased (I’m showing they raised the price). Response time on this unit is not the best, there is a slight delay and is not the smoothest. It wouldn’t be a good fit for someone with experience either. Do yourself a favor, spend a little more and get an entry level Futaba, I’ve had ones I bought over 10 years ago and still works like the day I bought it.

I bought this Radio for the 3rd Channel feature. It works Awesome. Click of button and my Second servo Shifts my Axial Trophy Truck from 1st to second..Why the 3 Stars? The instructions are basic and display no Advanced features about the remote.3 Channel Remotes with no way to set end points on 3 Rd channel.Or How do you enter Program Mode for this remote?..Those things made me spend Hours Constructing extra pieces because I had no control over the End Points to my 3rd Channel Servo.Time is money.More Detail about advanced features for this remote is needed..Range is good enough for my Liking and it Really is a More Modern Version of A Dx2E Spectrum Remote with upgrade steering Knob. And 3Channel button added a few lights. But it is a Good Buy for any ground Rc.The Reciever is Compact and secured with a Strong Plastic Shell.Good Buy.
