No. I found my unit to be unusable...I couldn't tell what it was actually measuring. This computer made it go nuts, but when I set it on the keyboard, then slowly took my hand away from it, the 1200+ reading dropped to zero, implying that it was measuring some combination of skin conductance plus ??? Do not buy this thing.

It's actually a very interesting device. If you notice if you touch it against your skin it gets a reading. This device measures static magnetic and dc fields. The people who giving bad reviews is because they are trying to measure magnetic fields and its not working. There's a great video on YouTube about how it's advertised wrong and measures ions. Hope this helps. see less

It measures electrical leakage from electrical devices. This shows bad connections or poorly designed products.

I would think you'd have to get VERY close to the tower. But if you approach the tower, and the audible alarm goes off, you don't want to be THAT close to the damn thing. I would say you'd be better off with a K2 meter, or a tri-field meter. Much more sensitive at a greater distance.

If you got this for Ghost Hunting then sell it or send it back as it does not work worth anything for Ghost Hunting, it's a piece of Cr. if you know what I mean, I tested ours for 6 month with our Mel Meter and Ghost meter, both outperformed it, it never worked, it's a chinese made piece of junk, we hardly use EMF Mete… see more If you got this for Ghost Hunting then sell it or send it back as it does not work worth anything for Ghost Hunting, it's a piece of Cr. if you know what I mean, I tested ours for 6 month with our Mel Meter and Ghost meter, both outperformed it, it never worked, it's a chinese made piece of junk, we hardly use EMF Meter for investigating anymore, too many things can set them off, we love Rem devices they will detect things, so will motion sensors and Shadow detectors thats where to put your money and Sight in Illinois sells a Red Pod at half the price of a Rem pod and apparition technologies in Aust. has a US and England seller they sell a Mini Rem and Rem DD Device, get those, this thing is junk. see less

I purchased this a while back. It does not measure radiation, it measures electrical frequencies (EMF's). You know what thats a good question give me a sec and i will find out, ok i just did the test on two different types of Neo mags. I dont think it measures it accurately but it does detect them. then it zeros back out. it has an initial peak and goes back to zero. May not be effective for your application. IDK.
