Very well constructed toy, although it does not feel like metal it still has a very solid feel. I found the power to be very good, actually I would say it is the most powerful tractor my son has owned. It can push trucks that are 3 times bigger out of the way while driving on carpet. . My son is able to run it over most obstacles, even going 45 deg up a wall while on thick carpet. Power is certainly not an issue like it is with so many of his other trucks. One thing to note is that this Tractor uses Tank like controls! You need to push both sticks forward to move forward. The benefit is that it can turn like a Tank when you pull one back and push one forward. The rechargeable batteries last about an hour. Luckily it is rechargeable so that really save on cost. The remote is first rate in construction just like the Tractor and uses 2x AA batteries. One negatives I found was that the lifting arm actually dumps the material as it goes up. You can see that in the picture. My young son does not seem to care as he is more into just using it to pile things up. The second thing I did not like is that it has no charging jack on the side!! You have to open the tray on the bottom and disconnect the battery then plug it into a standard 5V USB charger. It comes with a small cable that has a red light. The light blinks while charging and then goes solid red when it's charged. I do find it very annoying that they did not put a charging port on the side of the vehicle.
