When buying 4 of these they came to about $62 each with qty discount which seems like a fair price. 3 out of 4 of the units have a perfectly flush closing lid, and the remaining unit has to be pressed down a little bit hard and seems a little bent out of shape, but it closes and stays closed with some force. The fact that it has a small PCB and scale put it ahead of competing boxes at around the same price there alone, and those solely rely on desiccant packs. I needed these for a huge print job with highly hygroscopic filament (PC/ASA) and with the constant rain in southern california this spring it's helped quite a bit. I doubt this would effectively dry out some of the more stubborn filaments when it comes to moisture absorption on it's own - but is more of a solution to keep the already dried out filament dry during long print jobs, and I feel it does a good job at that. Dry your filament in a dehydrator or oven first before committing to a long print, and use this unit to keep it relatively dry for a long period of time.
