A good value, as long as you know what will be required. I have 2 of these (along with its big brother the RM Pro). The latest one was purchased to augment a Logitech Harmony Hub, which is sometimes "too smart for its own good" (e.g., if it sees it had already issued a on/off command, it won't issue it again, even if the IR signal didn't get to the device). I knew from past experience that the RM Mini 3 doesn't second guess the user. If you tell it to send the on/off signal, that is what it does. You'll note I say "tell", as I primarily use the RM Mini 3 linked to Alexa, rather than via the app. This requires using the Intelligent Home Center app from Broadlink, rather than e-Control app. Another item of note is that when linked to the Broadlink Alexa skill, only devices set up as a TV or set top box can be controlled by voice. This means that if to control my window A/C unit, for example, I have to map the controls for it to a TV remote, meaning to raise the temperature, I have to say, "Alexa, channel up on main AC" as opposed to "Alexa, temperature up on main AC".If you plan on using non-TV devices with both Alexa and via the app, I would recommend setting them up twice: Once as a TV (for Alexa) and once as the actual device type (for proper remote mapping in the app).At least if you are in the US, you should also expect to have to teach it each button for the remote for your device. I've set up a number of devices, and only my Changhong TV has been recognized and was in the database. (Even though TCL is also a listed brand, a friend's TCL TV wasn't recognized when I set her Mini 3 up).The buttons in the app are rather plain, and there does not appear to be an option to move the buttons around. As I recall, in the e-Control app, one could provide their own button images, but this does not appear to be the case for the IHC app.
