Waterproof, flexible, designs are scratch resistant. I bought the red cards and they DO have a back design like the others but it is light gray so not highly visible. The cards are pretty resistant to damage and I tried scratching the edge and there was no damage done. However two cards have minor blemishes on their backs. Pretty useful cards especially if you for some reason or other need to wash cards. I expect these to have a long use life.
