Great Value, light weight, sturdy. The case is comprised of molded Styrofoam inserts (1 top, 1 bottom), covered with a thin stretch velvet material, held together by the nylon exterior case. Maybe not enough strength to protect your instrument if a very heavy force is put on it (compared to a hard shell), but enough to protect it if dropped, or if it is squeezed into a back pack or suit case with other items. I needed a compact, lightweight travel case for a baroque wooden flute (1 foot joint key). The end sections are different lengths than a standard silver flute, and wider. The long finger hole / center joint fit in the rear channel without modification. I removed the 6 small ph screws that hold in the bottom section, lifted it out, peeled back the velvet inside cover, then used a small serrated knife to cut out the divider in the front channel and enlarge the width where necessary. Vacuum out all the loose bits of Styrofoam, stretch the cover back over the Styrofoam, push it back into the nylon shell, then re-screw to secure. Applying some pressure to close, the top section deformed a little to accommodate the oversized width of the flute without my having to make any modifications. The velvet liner is too thin and will probably where through pretty quickly. If that happens, remove the screws, lift out the two sections, and recover with a heavier grade of stretch velvet available from fabric stores. Styrofoam is very strong material, but if it does take a sharp hit that cracks or crumbles it, it looses it's protective qualities and you should buy a new case. The small screws may work themselves loose from the backing material with time, but are not essential to the integrity of the case. The top pocket is large enough (though very shallow) to hold a cleaning rod, cork grease, and a D whistle. However, there would be minimal protection for the whistle.

just what I wanted. it is a lot cheaper than other loopers but as a first time user, I just wanted to fiddle about to see what all the fuss was about. simple to use, plug in and go. you will need an adapter and please take note that this uses negative polarity. if it's not working, then it's probably because you're using positive polarity. most adapters can be changed from positive to negative but it's worth checking to make sure. it would be nice if this pedal came with an adapter hence only 4 stars. Oh and I also didn't realise how small this pedal is! it measures about 70mm x 30mm so don't go heavy with your foot! I've only had this a few days but I've already lost about 3 hours just noodling away.

Great case for the price, nicely protective, except that the barrel (straight piece right after the mouthpiece) of my old "Bundy by Selmer" clarinet was too long to fit into either of the little sections provided. These two identical sections are lined with a little plastic cup, and I solved this by removing the plastic lining cup from one section. I intend to line it with a piece of black foam. I think at this price, for this case, this one easy modification is absolutely worth it.
