I haven't worked on many with this reader. every vehicle i have used it on however has had different real time information i think the reader reads information given by vehicle computer so if the vehicle computer program is programmed to monitor trans fluid temp. the reader will read it.

I could not get "it" to do much more than a $60 code reader. Tried to clear air bag on a Saab but my 2002 93 did not exist in the Saab inventory.

I actually really like this scanner. It does most of what I want it to do, plus it can read codes from a lot of different vehicles. I was able to diagnose a catalytic converter problem on a 2008 Honda CRV and reset an airbag light on a 1999 Tacoma. I will have to reserve the right to update this review after a year though. I am very skeptical about the "lifetime updates". When I purchased the scanner, the product description had a bullet point that read "One year warranty and LIFETIME UPDATES for FREE. Now, today, it reads: "UPDATE AND WARRANTY: One year of FREE software updates and upgrades and limited One (1) year warranty". If I am not able to update this scanner after one year for free, I will be very pissed off. Before I purchased I read all of the questions on the product page and two of the questions were related to the lifetime updates. The seller assured the customer: "Thanks for contact us! MD802 supports FREE updating for lifetime,after a year, it will automatically run to extend the updating forever, and you do not need to do anything". I am not sure what I can do about it after the year warranty is over, but rest assured, I will do everything I can to get to the bottom of this.

At the moment I like, there are couple of things that it don't do and that's read 1996 OBDII Dodge truck at all. Not sure what to think of that, and it will lock up on doing a scan on my 2002 Dakota & Chrysler Town & Country while doing the Auto scan when it comes to the stereo stuff, but it will do the rest of what I really need it to do in manual.

Good scan tool. Does what it says it can do. Reads and clears codes just fine. The other features such as real time data is slow to update in comparison to high dollar tools. However, it has it's uses. I think it offers great value for what you spend. Easy to use and update using their software.
