I only use the 4 larger knurled knobs to secure the blades in the spanner. They supply two other, alternate, ways to secure, in case you do not have the clearance(?). do not understand the question. this is a freestanding spanner wrench tool, nothing else required. it worked fine for me.. dissasembly if binocular optics, and removal of the back on watches etc etc

Well finished spanner wrench with accessories to fit most all cameras. Has points and chisel shaped jaws. The pair of stepped chisels is especially helpful in fitting slots adjacent to a smooth ring where the steps can ride on the smooth ring and make the wrench more secure and unlikely to slip and injure a glass lens.

Well, I have been for more than 60 years, but when I was on vacation in Hawaii, I messed up the filter and couldn't separate ... unlucky ... I got those "toy" keys. .. they broke up on their first attempt ... they were sent back ... they spent too much time investigating ... they saw this contradiction ... doubt ... request. ... arrived today ... no instructions required. Is the clogged filter turned off in less than 30 seconds? Incredibly amazing ... Do you want me to tell you how I really feel? This tool enters my camera bag today! Thank you all ... will "shutter error"
