100% authentic, it came with the hologram and the scratch on code, verified on skyrc website. As for the function, I am no expert but it is charging and balancing the battery. Do note there is no Power supply included, there are many options for that, but be certain to have something that can at least provide the 5A it requires to charge else you will be chagrin at lower rate which mean more time waiting.

I have owned a couple multi-use chargers in the past and the B6ac 50w Super Multi Charger by DBPower is right on par with even some of the best units I have owned. An awesome feature of this unit is how it supports memory of charging settings so I can easily come back to this unit and get charging in a jiffy. The included clips work great and the variety of charging connectors is really nice to cover the broad range of batteries or devices you may want to charge with this unit. If you are in the market for a multi-use charger, this charger from DBPower is worth checking out. I received have the Real SKYRC, but I paid 30+ dollars for it. I would however not freak out If I received a clone, after all there seems to be a lot of success with the clones that are more than likely made in the same Mfg plant waiting for a sticker to be applied. Sky makes a big deal about their sticker, but they paid extra to have their stamp applied. The advertising marketing propaganda they use for a $7.00 charger gets them them the most profit and the ability to add a good warranty. Works great easy to charge different types of packs, even the the odd home made Nimh packs. Charges a 3S pack in about 40 minutes. If you want to cycle a battery it's not the quickest.

Awesome charger, very compact for on the go to the flying field. Has quick charge for batteries. Balances correctly. Hooks to a 12 volt battery very easily under the hood of your car. I can charge my batteries one after another with no hesitation. Estimated time to charge a batter is about 15 to 20 minutes for a 2200 mah. Display shows each cell and the level of charge for each cell so you will know its balanced correctly. I would buy again when and if this one takes a plunge. Great deal!

TLDR: I got it, and oh boy am I glad I did. High quality feel/look, this one came with scratch off activation, seem legit. Charges fast 5000mah 11.1v in about ~40 min. Comes with lots of cables (one for power with alligator clips that you can attach to your car battery or say a 12v PC power supply like me :)) I have a $9 Chinese low quality balance charger and a non balance charger that I built. I don't particularly trust the chinese one to balance my LiPos, then tend to come off the charger 4.17/4.21/4.19 (varies) which is hardly any better than my non balance charger that I made. The two chargers are painfully slow on a 3 cell LiPo ~2100 mah batteries, I've never kept track but I'm thinking about 3-4 hours. This thing just charged a 5000mah 3 cell in about 40 mins and I could watch the charge current drop and everything. Sure my home built charger cost me something like $14 to make, but it's max charge current is about 1A and slows down big time as the LiPo's voltage increases. Fun project, I built it and could build a balance charger, but WHY on earth would I do all that when I could just buy this for a little more than the components to build my own. Zero >0< Regrets

Ordered the same item from a different seller originally (( Eastvita® Imax B6 OEM Battery Balance Charger for 1-6 Cell Lipo, Li-ion, Life (A123), Pb, 1-15 Cells Nicd and Nimh Batteries )), it didn't work and was counterfeit. This one had the authentication sticker on the back and I was able to verify it on SkyRc's website. Haven't used it much yet but it does work and at least isn't a Chinese copy of the IMAX b6. Comes with deans connector stock on the charging output wires. Charges and balances my 2s and 3s Lipos, and the Traxxas stock NImh battery pack that came with my truck much more quickly than the included stock charger. Also has storage mode for charging Lipo batteries to 50% capacity for safe storage. Does not come with an AC adapter, and will not function out of the box without one. I purchased the Replacement LCD 60W 12V 5A adapter charger for Benq LCD Monitors:FP2081,FP450,FP547,FP553,FP557,FP563,FP567,FP581,FP581,FP591,FP731 here from Amazon to pair with it and it seems to be working fine. Overall, a good inexpensive charging option, capable of all the essential functions that more expensive chargers provide. If it is your first time charging Lipo batteries, I would suggest reading up on safe charging and handling practices before you begin.
