I'm using mine for Heli-x 6 on a Dell laptop with Windows 10 with a Spektrum DX6i controller. At first it wouldn't work for me at all. The controller configuration in Heli-X wouldn't show any movement of the sticks. I found a link on the Heli-x forum recommending this page... (Amazon won't let me put a link here but tinyurl dot com slash je65qc9 will get you there) which instructs you to find the device driver and then alter a couple of registry settings to turn off energy management on the device. I really had zero hopes that would help but it actually started working after that! My computer varied slightly from the instructions in that after I found the InstancePath folder in the registry there were two folders in there that I had to go into to get at the Device Parameters, so I just updated both of them. I should note that I also tried the cable on my Windows 7 laptop with no luck. I haven't tried the above fix on the Windows 7 machine.

Product as advertised, works well & no problems - but make sure if you use a Turnigy 9x or the FlySky TH9x to remove the RF module for the cable to work properly with your simulator. You may need to calibrate your transmitter in order to get it to work correctly within the sim, but it's pretty simple & lots of videos on youtube to explain the setup & how-to's. I was a rank beginner and still managed to figure it out without too many problems.... after I removed the RF module that is. 5 stars - great price, as advertised & fast shipping.

I bought this for use with my older DX7 (gen 1, with the light gray case), and it works fine on two of the three computers I use regularly. Oddly, the only one it doesn't work on is Windows 7: the OS doesn't even detect when it's plugged in. I haven't had a chance to test it on other Win7 machines, but it looks likely to be an OS issue rather than hardware. It works perfectly* on both Windows 10 and Mac OS 10.11 (El Capitan). I'm using it with the DRL simulator, and I've also tested it (in Win10) on Freerider FPV. The one downside (other than Win7 issues), which other people have mentioned, is the annoying constant blinking of the red LED. If that's the worst I see, though, I'm pretty pleased with the cable. * There seems to be an issue with my radio, and the left stick is really jittery. That was also true with a 3.5mm audio cable and SmartPropoPlus, though, so I'm not considering it a defect in the radio.

Tested with a mid 2014 15" retina macbook pro running OSX 10.11.6, with a futaba conquest FP-T4NBF (large round DIN connector). Works in FPVfreerider and in aerofly RC7 flawlessly. Did *not* work in "RC Plane 3" - moving a stick vertically on the transmitter would move it diagonally in that simulator and there was no way to resolve this error/calibration issue. There is a red LED that flashes when the cable is plugged into USB, and is unaffected by whether or not the cable is plugged into a transmitter. The light can be distracting, It would be nice if it stayed on instead of blinking or was more subtle. At first when I saw the flashing light I thought it might indicate some error, but the cable is working fine. On the whole, a good purchase for the price point. It would be nice if they also included a square port adapter, instead of just the large and small round DIN. At the moment I only own an old large DIN round futaba style connector, so I can't test the smell round DIN.

This USB adapter connects an RC controller to a PC and is the FMS Simulator model FS-SM100 made by flysky. I used it to connect a DX6i controller with a PC running Windows 8 and running the FPfreerider quad-copter simulator. After modifying a few settings on the DX6i (applying full offset to throttle, yaw, pitch, and roll), I was able to trim the rest of the way using the little buttons on the controller. This adapter works well by letting me use my DX6i to run a simulator and is much more precise than gamepad controllers.

This works great, I use it a lot and I'm getting so much better at flying because of the time I put in on FPV Freerider and Liftoff. But it took me quite a while to figure out how to use it on my mac with a Turnigy 9x. I'm on OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite, but I think anything near 10.10.5 would be the same. It's sad that it was this easy: 1. Unplug your module on the back of the transmitter. If it's the stock module, it will just dangle there because the antenna wire isn't part of the receiving port (who designed that?). It's fine, just wrap it over the metal stand. 2. Plug the cable into your mac and into the sim 3. Don't turn on your Transmitter. DO NOT TURN IT ON. It will get enough power from the audio cable, but you still need your battery plugged in, I think to complete the circuit 4. Launch the sim It's that easy, but I either had my TX on or left the module in for most of my attempts, that screws it all up. I also tried the TX hack adding a resistor so I don't have to remove the TX module on the back, but it doesn't seem to help. I'm not sure what I did wrong there. Just google Turnigy SIM trainer mod if you want to learn more. But either way, totally worth it, simulator time with your actual flight TX is invaluable.

Love this! At first like some other users, I thought I had bought something that just wasn't going to work, but it turned out I just needed to learn how to properly calibrate in the software I was trying to use it with. I am using this with a Mac running El Capitan, and using the software FPV FreeRider. The controller I am using is a Walkera Devo 7. If you are using this setup, it will work, but you have to learn how to properly calibrate in FPV FreeRider, which the docs are not at all clear on. When you calibrate, and you move the sticks, take note of which bubble is moving. Move the stick indicated on the screen, and then click the bubble that move, and then click Next. Do this for each stick. When you get to the last screen, you'll need to TRIM and SCALE the sticks. SCALE adjusts the travel of the stick on the screen, and TRIM adjusts it's trim. Make sure that each stick gets full travel, and that they are trimmed to match the real world stick positions, and you'll be good to go.

Works well with my FlySky transmitter. A couple of things though. The website listed on the package and on the product description doesn't exist anymore, but there are several others that are free or have demo versions. You might want to look at which program you want to use first and make sure it would be compatible. The one I first thought I would want to use requires it's own cable (their USB cable is also a software key dongle). But I found Heli-X and it works fine with that and I actually think that's what I'd prefer anyway. Search on google there are other options too. Just make sure you can use your own cable and not be forced into buying one, or a transmitter setup, before buying this. Another one to check is ClearView SE or Clearview RC Flight Sim. It also works but doesn't have multicopters.

It works, after a bit of work. It seems that my Turnigy 9x, my Mac and FPV-Freerider are a bit sensitive to this whole operation and it took me a week to find the trick, thanks to reddit user flayzeraynx. No driver installs or anything, here's what I had to do: "Connect to the USB on the any Mac device. No need to install any driver. Remove your module from the back. Plug the stereo audio cable to the simulator cable slot (its at the back, below the module).. do not turn the Transmitter, the TX will get the enough power from the audio cable. Now create and select a new model, select acro plane, and mode 2, reverse the elevator channel. Now open freerider on the MAC and select usb controller from the input and select" Then I also have to calibrate the controller every time I start the app, it's a little annoying, but FPV-freerider is free for one map and cheap to buy the rest. If I bump the USB or the trainer port when I'm in the app, I lose it and have to close the program and start from the beginning. Hope this helps someone else!

Worked well. I have another Tx I wanted use for Phoenix instead of the dx6i that came with it but the plug was different. This solved the problem.

Worked right out of the box with my DX4e transmitter. I can use it with different flight simulators, with a little editing and setup for each particular sim software I can control planes, helicopters and quad copters. The communication between my transmitter and the PC is flawless using this cable. They provide a link to their website to test their simulator, haven't done that so but I guess if it worked with major sim software it should work with theirs.
