Distance dependent. Quite wide but a big spot on a near wall indoors. I use it outside. In a tree canopy in the dark you get a nice flood light. It's more of a flood.

This light does not come with batteries. It runs on 6 tripple A batteries or you can buy an alternative battery that you can charge. LOL, This is not a camera

It's very well-built, but I haven't tested in such conditions. It does have the option for enclosed AA batteries, which could offer better protection.

sorry not sure on that

Hello, The LED's are NOT temperature variable, they are only adjustable by the level of output; however, they are NOT temperature adjustable. This Light is more of a budget model light, and if you are looking for more advanced features, you may need to look at other offerings from YONGNUO

No question these (I bought two) are amazing. I saw many reviews on youtube. None answered my questions as a Photographer using them for photography (not videography). I wanted them for darker venues so that I can add a little light for focusing and overall quality. I have a wedding in 3 days so I will try to follow up on this review. What I can say from testing this light out over the last two days is: 1) They are super bright. I cannot explain what that means in a way that you could get a proper understanding but they are super bright. 2) Great quality build. Yes they are plastic but they feel solid for their size. 3) These are small lights. I don't say that as a bad thing I just thought they were going to be bigger. They are really small and I love that. I chose them over the big square ones because they just don't look right to me. Looking for more of a stage production type feel not a random square light. So the small size makes them even more appealing to me as they will just sort of blend in as a spotlight of sorts in the room. 4) Three different ways to power this little light. External lithium battery, (6) AA batteries, DC Power supply. So overall a great light. If I had to ask for one thing, I would love to have a remote so that I can make adjustments while the light is up. I can see now that I will need to know where I want the settings to be before I put it up because it will suck to keep lowering the light to change power levels. Now the most important question I had was how long would AA batteries last. I use AA batteries for all my camera gear (I try to only buy gear that uses AA batteries so that everything works together). I have tested both my lights over the last three days. I put in fresh batteries and turned the 3200K and 5500K lights up to full power. I then simply timed it until I could see a noticeable difference in the output. The verdict... 1 Hour. I tested this three different times. Twice with both lights at the same time and once using just one light. So essentially I tested this five times. Each time the light would be very bright for a solid hour, then they would take a significant dip in output. For my purposes (extra light during a ceremony) this is still great. If I am using it for specialty lighting at a reception I may need to try out the lithium battery to see how much more time I would get out of the light. Or I will just need to plug it up. One thing to note, is that you can check the battery level on the back of these lights. The problem is that when using the AA batteries they would go from full power, ten dots, to only one dot in only a few minutes. The light output would still be very bright but the power left in the batteries was very deceiving since it would still shine at full power for another 45 min. Not sure if that was because I was using the AA batteries but definitely something to keep in mind.

This is the third one I've purchased. The light itself is unbelievably bright and versatile, albeit a bit spotty, i.e., the range isn't quite as wide as a speedlight, but close enough, and equally bright, in my tests. The 216 refers to the number of LEDs, half tungsten, and half daylight. You can adjust both, either "course" (quickly), or "fine" (in detail). The CRI is very high, rated 90+, and there's no color shift. In addition to lashing one of them on my DSLR for videos, I use them for effects and enhancements. This light even fits neatly under the (threekings) extension arm on a DJI Osmo, with no effect whatsoever on the gimbal. The reflective barn doors are a bit puzzling, but no matter, the YN-216 is a great light, at a great price. I'll probably purchase another one.

I like the size of the light. I primary use it as back light or hair light. I like how I'm able to change the color temperature without changing the filter. It's not as simple as putting in the battery and ready to use. You do need to take the time to learn how to function the light otherwise you will have a hard time trying to figure out how the temperature changing work. I'm a Cinematographer and I recommend this product.

You couldn't ask for a more perfect light. I told this to Neewer to put barn doors on the cn 160s to make it a complete light but, noooooooo! I'm so happy with Yongnuo and their led light series right now! This light is perfect for on the go and set lighting! I'm about to order 2 more to complete the set. Don't get me wrong, these light can't compete with high end lighting like my Dracast lights but they damn near get the job done for a fraction of the cost! Peace.

Of all the led lights I've used, and it really isn't that many, I really do like these. Using a 970 battery they last for a few hours on full power, and the control and directional capability of the lights is great. I definitely prefer these to the flat panel lights for direct light on the talent. Now I just want to find a good diffuser/softbox for them.

I tried alot of dslr lights and this one was over all the best. When we're out on location filming for our tv show, this light has worked on point each time. Planning on ordering another one. Just get a battery that will last longer than the smaller batteries people usually get. I have honest had no problems. Doesn't get hot were your afraid of using it.
