It will trip other Yongnuo flashes or RF603 units when attached to the hot shoe - it cannot be used to remotely trip the shutter since the t5i does not have the 3-pin connector for external controls

I'm a semi professional Photographer. Little by little I upgrade my gear as I'm able to. I had some remotes of a different brand and after 2 years of heavy use they up and died on me. For the price they were great and did a great job but it was time for something better. So, I decided for a change and went with the Yongnuo Upgrade RF-603 II C1. They are sleak and look great. And the work WITHOUT fail! How many times did my other remotes not fire, but these babbies are wonderful. I use them multiple times a week and the batteries last (haha as long as you turn it off when you are done) :) I will add more of these to my collection as needed with additional flashes etc. Perfect for the use I need. Off camera flash photography has helped me grow my skills and turns a snapshop into something working keeping forever.

These are great, they only have one downside: The GOOD: 1- They just work, put them on the camera and flash, turn them on, and go are ready to go 2- The are inexpensive 3: They work as remotes for the camera (this is great when taking my own family portraits) 4- they still work after broken The not so good: 1- the bottom that attached to the camera does not secure, I wish it had the threaded wheel that locks flashes in place The bad: 1- they are flimsy, if you place them on the camera, and use a master flash (a flash on top of the remote on the camera it feels like it will tear apart) 2- if they fall they break and sometime keep on working

For a single-person studio/small studio use, I would not hesitate to buy these triggers again. Biggest Pros: CHEAP. versus around/up to $150 for "name brand" triggers They are transcievers, so you don't have to worry about your transmitter going bad/having specific back ups. Works on both studio strobes (monolights and power packs, with correct cable) and Speedlites Screw on device to lock on Speedlites (versus the old model, which was lacking this) Relatively well built- I'm not saying throw them, but they'd survive some drops and falls. Battery life lasts forever I've only gone to 1/200th, but they've never misfired or curtained. Largest Cons: For some reason, I just CANNOT make these fire if I'm in LIVE VIEW! I have never this issue with other triggers before... You do need to buy the cables you'll need to connect them to your strobe separately- expect to invest at least $20-30 into those. No ETTL on these guys. Again, for the price point though.... what can you expect? They're not super durable. And finally, there's no good way to "mount" these onto a strobe unit or even a real flat edge, so they dangle. I'd planned on attaching Velcro but there really isn't a lot of open surface area to do so. I definitely recommend these if you don't want to sink multiple hundreds of dollars into other triggers but still want something nicer than the supreme cheapo brands. I would not hesitate to buy them again, and plan to as my flash collection expands!

Worked for me perfectly for 4 years. Pro's: - Great for their price - Multi-channel setup allows you to ensure you're not caught in a web of other photographer's triggers if you go to big events. - Allows for camera trigger + flash trigger setup - Generally works within a good distance Con's: - Cheap quality (light plastic used) - Trigger slides easily to "on" in a bag - Does not have an auto-off function so if you accidentally leave it on or it gets knocked into an "on" position, your batteries will be drained fully - Stopped syncing with each other after 3 years (tried everything the manual and web suggested to fix it, nothing yet) After 3 years of using these, I would say I got my moneys worth and will happily buy another pair if they'll last another 3 years (hopefully longer though).

So far, so good. Make sure to switch to second setting ( the one with more letters lol) to make it work. I think the first setting is receiver only, whereas the other setting is transceiver mode. I didn't have them too far from each other but, at least 10 feet. I used one on my hotshoe to trigger the other that was plugged into a monolight with the included cable. So much better than being tethered to the monolight. You can use these to trigger flashes or, attach one to your camera and use the other as a wireless shutter release button.

I purchased this electronic photography accessory from TOMTOP.com. The order was placed on March 20, 2015 and the package was received in Miami, Florida three days later. It just can't get any better than that. No delivery charges were made. Delivery service---first class. The radio devices worked perfectly on my DSLR Canon EOS Rebel T2i camera and on my Fujifilm X-30 mirrorless camera. The Yongnuo RF-603C II radio units performed flawlessly, as advertised. On several occasions I used the radios as a remote control unit.

I was looking for a trigger to use for both strobes and speedlites. Being that I think pocketwizards are ridiculously overpriced, I wanted something less expensive but works well. After trying other's with sub-par results, I ran across these. I passed on the first generation due to complaints of no locking mechanisms. (Didn't need my flashes falling off!) After research, I saw the people at Yongnuo addressed the issues people had with their construction. I decided to give these a try and bought four of them. I couldn't be happier! As they serve as BOTH receiver AND transmitter, I can use any one of them as my trigger and receiver. (Great backup plan if a battery dies during a shoot.) Plus gives me the option of triggering my camera remotely. Great purchase. P.S. I use this on both the 60d and 7d with no issues.

There is no reason to buy more expensive wireless triggers with this system. It has given me everything I need to fire portable strobes from various camera hot shoes and can also be adapted to fire cameras, as well. I haven't tested at long range, but in the studio or on location these have been 100% reliable. Currently using with the Yongnuo 560 II electronic flash units and am extremely pleased by both products. I have liked the first set of these so much I bought a second set. Unless you need to group flashes or have other advanced use, these will work perfectly for basic strobe or camera triggering. Currently in use with Sony a6000, A7, and RX10 cameras.

Without hesitation I can say these triggers function well on my Pentax K30 with my Metz 48AF-1 flash. In more than 100 flashes I've not had one instance of mis-fire. Pentax will fire with the RF 603 II N series but the C series provides the cannon shutter cable which fits the Pentax. It took me less than 2 minutes to set my channel, insert the batteries (Doesn't come with batteries 2 x AAA batteries per transceiver) and mount them to the camera and flash/light-stand. This set is an inexpensive and reliable way to trigger off camera flash. If TTL is your thing then these are not for you they fore the flash and that's all. Highly recommended

Works great with Pentax K-5 ! - trigger YN-560 III (only one unit is needed in Tx mode); - trigger any other flash (in my case - Alien Bees B400 with its own sync cord); - trigger the camera remotely (C1 cable fits). All variations worked fine. Never (!) misfired so far (tested for a day). Great product, great price!

Great triggers. I had some RF-603 original versions that would not work with my Fujifilm X-T1 due to the low voltage of the hotshoe to autoswitch the trigger into transmit mode. The addition of the new selector switch on this RF-603 II allows for it to function. Inexpensive, good function, easy to use design. Can't go wrong.

These are absolutely fantastic "period". They aren't just fantastic for the price, they are fantastic period. I will never purchase a pocket wizard as long as these are being manufactured. To be honest I will probably never have to buy another set of them unless you deliberately try to crush them. They are simple and reliable and have an extremely good range. I had them about two football fields away from each other on two bridges that are parallel to each other and they still fired.

Love these cheap little triggers.. they are small, light weight and they seem to last a long time on the AAA batteries they run off of. Only thing you have to be careful of is bumping the switch on the side and killing the batteries. I know they moved them off the top for easier access, but now you have the potential to hit them as you're putting them in your bag.
