Has anyone else incured this problem? The qucik release plate screw does not tighten. The rubber or plastic around the tighten screw keeps turning.

A
  • I have the same one and have not had that problem. But I have had some difficulty getting the quick release plate in and out of the tripod head. I don't use this often enough to give a fair accounting of it's durability, since it is on an older tripod for a camera slider.

Good quality product I must say. It feels really hefty, weighing around 375 grams. I got this because I had two tripods and I wanted to switch camera mounts instantly without having to adjust my tripod's height. The quick release knob offers a really easy way to detach my DSLR from my tripod then switch to another one with a similar contraption attached. You attach this item on to a tripod with a 75mm screw. Some tripods come with a 50mm screw which is the standard screw to mount DSLR. So you might need to buy a separate screw converter to be able to use this product on some tripods - I got mine separately. The other one I use for my other tripod is very similar but just in a different brand from China - this old one of mine had some some sticky liquid spread all around the ball bearing which I would occasionally touch then I would end up with sticky fingers. I suppose it was put there to lubricate the ball joint, but it's a bit of a mess if you touch it. I was worried this Anoder version will have the same sticky substance in the ball bearing, but I was pleasantly surprised it was all clean and still easy to manoeuvre.

Consigliatissima

------------------------PLEASE SEE VIDEO FOR FULL REVIEW------------------------ I first bought this ballhead when I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the Joby ballhead for my new Gorillapod. I was horrified at the price Joby was charging and so I looked around and was very pleased when I found this! I have only heard great things about Andoer so I was very keen on this ballhead. I am pleased to say I now love this product and use it to make every one of my YouTube videos! Here I will list the pros and cons: Pros • Strong enough to hold any camera • Fits all tripods/monopods/gorillapods/sliders (3/8” thread) you only need to buy an adapter • Well priced! • Outstanding build quality • Very functional and very reliable/durable. • Works with GoPro base plates Cons • Weight (also a pro) The ballhead impressed me most with its’ build quality. The majority of the unit is made out of metal with an almost matte black finish which I really like. The ballhead is very functional and it is definitely built to last. So far I have been using this non-stop for a few months and it has shown very little signs of use. The ballhead works really well with any tripod, slider or GorillaPod. On a slider, the ballhead helps me to get angled shots which otherwise would be impossible and its weight helps to steady the sliders carriage. The ballhead is definitely strong enough to hold any camera as when the knobs are fully tight that ballhead won’t budge. All of the knobs have a very nice rubber grip on them which makes this product a pleasure to use. In the middle we have two knobs which loosen up the ball itself and another one below which loosens a rotating base. On that base we have a scale which is very useful for doing hyperlapses. Both the ballhead and base move very slowly so you could almost use this as some kind of fluid head. Above the ball there is a quick release system with a safety catch. I have found this very handy as you don’t have to screw the camera into the ballhead every time you use it. I have found the quick release system easy to use and I have no worries about using an expensive lens with it. The safety mechanism means that if you undo the plate slightly then the camera cannot fall out and this has saved my camera on multiple occasions. The plate is really well built with a o ring to tighten it and rubber griptape which holds on to the bottom of my camera very nicely. There are also two bubble levels to make sure you shot is level. The ballhead works with any camera with a screw mount and I also managed to attach the Go Pros base plate to it which worked perfectly (This isn’t an advertised feature!) The only minor downside to this is the weight which won’t be a problem for most people. If you are vlogging with a GorillaPod then this may take its’ toll on your arm. Overall I was genuinely amazed by this product and for such a reasonable price! I would not hesitate to recommend this ballhead! It has done the job perfectly whilst saving me some cash for more camera gear :)

Excelente compra calidad-precio

I'm extremely impressed by the quality of the Beike ball heads, to the extent that I own three now. I pair two of them with heavy duty tripods to support a 6.5kg dslr slider, which they hold easily without any play in either the ball joint or quick release plate at any orientation. The other supports my dslr capably during the slider movements. The action of all the components is very smooth with satisfying resistance and I expect they will remain this efficient for many years to come. The female thread on the base is 3/8". The bubble meter is a nice addition to aid in levelling, as is the loop attached to the screw in the quick release plate that helps secure the camera firmly. I like the addition of printed bearings in degrees on the rotating shaft as this is useful when working out panning arcs with motorised gear. The Beike is a quality item and represents excellent value for money

smooth as butter, great for mounting my pulsar bins to my leopuld tripod instead of the leopuld mount, which is more suited to heavy spotting scopes... this is really great for the money as i thought i would have to pay a lot more for a fluid panning style attachment (excuse my terminology, ex army not a photographer) as i mentioned great for binos on a tripod for watching the abundance of wildlife and paragliders where i live, in the west of dorset.... highly recommended, so jog on and procure a bit of gucci kit for a fraction of the price... very shiny indeed, thumbs up if ive been helpful to you troops, it matters, it really does, like you dont believe, please dont forget, im kind to puppies as well, i really am, i love them.

The ball head comes with three chunky knobs and one integrated spirit level. The latter makes it easy to level the tripod and head. One knob controls the panning, rotating around de vertical axis, for panoramic shots. The other two to control the friction of the ball. Each knob on its own is capable of fully blocking the ball from moving. Knobs have a good grip. My main concern was the bearing capacity of the head. But after stacking a Canon 5DII with battery grip, 1.4x extender, 2x extender and an old full metal Canon 300 F4 prime lens, totalling more than 3.5 kg, onto the head and locking it into a 60 degree angle, it was still exactly in the same place after an hour of waiting. No creep what so ever. I would totally recommend this ball head.

This product was shipped promptly and arrived in good condition. The item is certainly not of the same quality as a RRS, Arca, or Sirui ballhead. However, those products would have cost at least 5x as much. This ballhead is amazing considering the ridiculously low price. The ballhead is not as smooth as my Sirui and the contact points for the ball seem to be plastic. It is not a metal oon metal contact as in more expensive ballheads. It is unknown how well this will hold up with time. So far it has proved to be stable with minimal drop on middleweight equipment. All in all, this product is a reasonable value.

I bought this as a replacement head for my MeFOTO Daytrip tripod, because it comes with a non standard head, so I didn't really want to pay much but wanted something that would do the job as good as the head that came with the tripod. First impressions were that the head is very solidly built. It does *not* feel like a really cheap head. If this head cost double what it does, I think I'd still be happy with the quality. It has two tightening locks on it, so holds everything in place really well, and the ball action is smooth. The panning is also smooth, albeit a bit tight, but personally I prefer this over something that swings around easily once it's loosened. Overall I'm really pleased with the quality, especially considering the super low price point. For reference I'm using this on a MeFOTO Daytrip tripod with a Sony A6000 and a Tamron B011 18-200mm lens.

Buenos acabados. Robusta. Movimientos fluidos.

I bought this small ball head for use with a robust tabletop tripod. I use a Leica M240 and an Olympus OM-D E-M1 so I wanted something better than the usual mini ball heads that come with TT tripods. According to the specification this Beike head has a maximum load of up to 5kg - more than I need. In use it behaves as it should. Movements are smooth enough and once the ball head is fixed in position, a two handed job, there is no movement or slippage. The supplied QR plate is Arco-Swiss compatible which is handy as it works well with the QR plates I normally use.

Read the reviews and was a bit sceptical about the quality at this price having owned ballheads at 20x the price of this one. What can I say.......VERY impressed! So impressed I ordered another one! I mounted my D800 with 24-70mm on and it holds it perfectly on the tripod without movement. The other one I ordered I'm going to use on my monopod. If it didn't have Belke on the side of the ballhead you would think it was a top notch one. These other manufacturers should be ashamed of themselves for the price they are selling their ballheads at. This one even makes the Velbon and Sunwayfoto ones seem expensive.

I ordered the Desmond Dual Channel Arca & Slidefix Compatible 50mm Clamp with Adapter for Tripod Head, but found out that the clamp on this is too narrow to clamp the L bracket properly. So determined to find the clamp that would work, I ordered this one and believe it or not, it works! The L bracket sits in the grooves perfectly and securely. Now that I got that out of the way, lets talk about the ballhead. The plate that comes with the clamp has to be lifted out because of the stop screws on both ends. It doesn't have a locking pin in the clamp. But of course, the L bracket can't use a locking pin, so not having a locking pin is no biggy for me. It comes with 3 knobs, which are all rubber coated, one for rotation and the other two for tension. And because the tension knobs are opposite each other, you are able to use either hand to make your final adjustment. With the two tension knobs, you can snug one knob to that close adjustment and use the other to tighten the final position. I like keeping one knob slightly loose so I can move the camera. As far as the tension goes, I put my Canon 5D with the 28-135mm lens on the ball head, and set the angle at 30 degrees both horizontal and vertical for 15 minutes; no movement at all. Tightening is more like snugging, very little twist of the knob; stops the ball in its track. I know this is a long winded review, but the idea is to help someone to only have to make a one time decision if you were looking at these products. A Canon full frame camera will be sitting atop this ball head. Most of my shooting will either be with the camera level, using the L bracket, or with the tension slightly loose, so I can control the camera with my hand.
