These are what they are, pedal extenders. The threaded shafts going into the crank are about 3/16" short, not quite going all the way in. One installed easily, the other was just a smidge too tight, had to lube the threads and use the big wrench to get it all the way on. Other than that, these look to be heavy duty and should stand up.

Easy bolt on and I really like that it is hollow. This makes it really easy is you're using pedals that install with Allen wrenches. i have always liked having a wider stance when riding I really think this helps if you are a bigger rider. Well worth a try for the cost involved.
