Have just done a single ride, but wanted to comment on sizing in case that was helpful to anyone. Definitely order up a size compared to other bike shorts you may have. I am 6'4", 205 lbs, waist 34" & leg circumference about 6" above the knee is 18"- and the XL fits perfect; snug (like normal compression shorts) but not uncomfortable (have been using Pearl Izumi Quest shorts in L for the past year as comparison) - overall shorts were very comfortable, of decent quality - padding is a more thick than the pearl izumi's but worked well.

I ordered the size "L" based on the published sizing guide (waist: 84cm / 33 in | height 170cm / 67 in) and the shorts fit perfectly. The finish quality is actually better than I expected, particularly along the edges of the leg openings. The neon green visibility piping also looks very, very slick. I tried the shorts the day they arrived, on my 8.3 mile evening commute, and found them to be quite comfortable. Initially it felt as if the padding was situated a bit too far back, but once on the saddle it was just right. The 4-star rating is due only to the fact I was hoping the padding would be a bit more firm than it is. While I've yet to wear the shorts for an extended ride, I suspect that at > 50-60 km / 30-40 miles I'll be wanting firmer / thicker padding. But I own padded cycling undershorts for such occasions, and I suspect those will come into play with the SANTIC shorts for longer rides. Regardless, excellent value for money, particularly if you're a casual cyclist looking for affordable shorts for commuting or rides under 50 km / 30 miles.

Honestly didnt expect much for a sub $30 cycling shorts but these are well made and fits great.No bad seams.Legs are silicone instead of bands,waist is comfortable and padding is thick.Maybe a tad too thick but over time it will compress.The contour fits great and looks really nice.Some people suggest going up a size.I usually wear small (30-32) but went up to a medium.Fits great but a bit loose around thighs and waist.Still very usable but I think in the future I order a small.So go with the size you normally wear in my opinion.Either way a amazing riding shorts for the price.

Haven't used them yet, but wanted to provide sizing feedback, as there's a lot of conflicting info here. I'm a smaller guy- 155lb and wear 30 inseam/32 waist pants from any major brand. My waist actually measures 34" when custom tailored which shows you how clothing manufacturers like us to feel good about wearing their stuff. I paid attention to the reviews, and ordered a 'large' rather than my normal medium size. The packaging arrived with a 'XL' sticker on it, but on closer look the shorts have sizing printed where a paper tag would normally be on the rear inside waistband. There are sizes for "CN' 'ASIA" EU" and USA" listed, and the USA size is 'L" so they are the correct size. I believe that the medium size would have been a better, snugger fit, as the large is just a bit less than snug all around- not floppy, but more relaxed than intended. Hope this helps with your sizing. The shorts themselves seem well built with lots of reinforced seams, but can't speak to durability as yet...

Fantastic cycling shorts for the price. I bought two of them to avail of free shipping. Size chart is accurate, I'm a 36' waist and the L fit me perfectly. Nice thickness of the padding, I only wish is were a little longer. It just about covers from my behind to the front. I've washed them several times and quality seems very durable. I would definitely buy them again

Got me an MT-07, and after riding it on the highways for anything longer than 30 minutes my ass starts throbbing and hurting like crazy! The vibrations and bumps really make it unbearable especially with uncomfortable underwear and pants. Bought these shorts, and went riding to forks of credit in Caledon. I spent 4 hours in the saddle with no discomfort in my ass. This was amazing. Hands down the BEST 20 bucks I've ever spent for my riding career. I highly recommend this to anyone suffering from ass vibrations!

So far so good. Went contrarian on sizing and ordered a Medium - ignored the size chart that suggested a Large (I am 36-38 waist) and ignored reviewers who recommended sizing up one size from chart. I've had difficulty with every biking short i've tried getting the rear padding to stay in place where i need it while riding (i.e., between my butt and the seat). Medium perhaps a bit tighter than ideal in the thighs but not painful at all, and I can even comfortably pull the shorts over a pair of knee warmers that come partway up my thighs without constricting my thighs Most important, padding so far has been staying in the right place (i.e., against the seat ) and not shifting so that my butt ends up resting on the seat with no padding in between... Medium fine at the waist; not too tight.. Time will tell how durable these are but so far seem well made and good value.

I originally posted a 1 star review for bad fit and poor padding design. The company contacted me and offered to send a size smaller if I wanted. That’s great customer service. I took them up on the offer and a correct size made all the difference. Still not the same level of fit and quality as the expensive brands, but for the price, it’s a good deal. 4 stars for great customer service and a good product that might need a little tweaking. Sizing tip: do not use a tape measure measurement for sizing. Use the size from the pants you normally buy.

I ordered both the 3XL based on the sizing table but wanted the red color and only available size was 2XL. The 2XL fit my 120-125 seat bones perfectly and the chamois area was perfect. The 3XL were a touch baggy and the chamios area was awkward? Despite being a large guy, 6'2", 230 +/- 10, but muscalar I have always had to order up in size and disappointed in the chamois area fit especially when agressive riding. The chamois has great venting and padding without being bulky. Great that Amazon has free returns and this made it a much easier to buy with confidence. The thigh bands prevent riding up and the waist is comfortable. Really enjoying riding with these! Will continue to look at Santic gear! well made, material breathes, chamois is my new favorite and "Oh what a feeling!" as the commerical goes. Thanks to Amazon for making this purchase fast and easy and big thumbs up for Santic cycle shorts!

I bought both Santic and Sponeed because I didn’t know which was better. The Santic has higher quality and more generous chamois padding. The shorts material is higher quality and the color is a true high visibility yellow. It just looks overall sharper and is more comfortable. In contrast the Sponeed has a lower quality padding that compresses too easily to be supportive, and the yellow shorts look faded and discolored by comparison. The only way the Sponeed is better is that the shape of the padding is less “heart shaped” in the rear. The Santic can get caught on your bike seat if you are getting in and out of the seat a lot as I do for commuting. The Sponeed doesn’t get caught on the bike seat. Would easily purchase the Santic again. Awesome value.

I am very pleased with these bike shorts! As a fairly avid cyclist I understand the importance of a good pair of cycling pants. I get out and ride every other day during my lunch hour. My ride distance is between 16 and 17 miles and these are perfect for that kind of riding. I also have the opportunity to take them out on a longer ride this past weekend; 42 miles and they held up extremely well. I never felt any discomfort or had any clothing dysfunctions while riding. They are a very comfy short and I will gladly buy several more of these when the time comes. I already have the saved in my favorites so will definitely get another pair when the time comes. As far as sizing goes, I ordered the 4XL as my waist is a 44 inch waist. They fit perfectly. I use the sizing chart that they had on the site and they were spot on. Thanks for a great pair of shorts and for the awesome price as well!

I purchased a couple different pairs of Bike shorts. Iv never worn these kind of shorts before and don't have a local store that sells them, These are the best pair. They are long in the leg which is what I like. I have worn these alone and under shorts. I ordered a Large. I wear UA underwear size XL and more other brands are a XL for reference. 205lb man 34/36 waist. Will definetly be purchasing another pair. I hope this review helps! Cheers

These shorts are an exceptional value. Similar shorts normally cost at least double the price of these. The quality is first rate, as good as the more expensive shorts, and Sportneer customer service is terrific. Note that these are European sizes so you may want to order a size up. I did not realize the sizing issue so I wrote Sportneer after receiving the shorts and they immediately stepped in to take care of the situation to my complete satisfaction.
