    This is a nice vest for the price, but if you want the foam insert to make this a life jacket make sure you choose correctly. Still worth the money, tons of pockets and fits well.

    Why do manufacturers STILL use crappy zippers? Otherwise the vest is very serviceable.

    stitching is already starting to come undone,weve used them maybe 6 times. another fault is the zipper doesn't stay up, especially when you're in the water

    When I purchased this vest it was advertised as a "life jacket", it isn't. It doesn't have any ability to float at all. Other than that this product was as advertised in December of 2018.

    Floatation is about 1” thick, made up of 1/4 inch foams. It is Not very good as PFD.

    It's a decent looking and functional vest but if you are using this for kayak fishing please note that the flotation padding in the back of this vest will cause some discomfort if seated for an extended length of time. I stand much of my time while fishing so that isn't the deal breaker for me. My major gripe with this vest is the zipper pulls have corroded to the point of being inoperable after one outing in salt water. Yes, I should have washed this vest in fresh water as soon as I got home from my trip like I do my reels but hindsight is always 20/20. The zipper pulls have all just about disintegrated. I really enjoyed all of the pockets on this vest for storing tackle, phone and other personal items but the pockets are, at this point, worthless as the zippers no longer work. I cannot recommend this vest for anyone planning on taking this on salt or brackish water unless you plan on rinsing ALL of the zippers really well as soon as you get home.

    The vest is nice however it is not USCG (life vest certified) approved. Which is a big deal if you are looking for a life vest.

    While these are well made & have lots of compartments. The size for an adult male was not satisfactory for us. It is very short in the body. Barely covering my husbands chest after extending out the shoulder straps. If that is what you are looking for, great!! We had to send it back as it felt like he was wearing a child's vest. Their functionality would be great if they were just bigger. My husband is average size.

    Well made, with lots of room to carry a lot of things. The sizing runs a little small, so order larger than you normally wear.
