On first use of this PCP air compressor, there are some important things to note. While it may initially seem loud, compared to other compressors it's relatively quiet, especially if there's a barrier like a wall between you and the unit. The noise is more of a whining sound from the fans cooling the system, rather than thumping. Ensure you use the water and oil separator to minimize chances of moisture entering your air tank or causing any failures. Read through the instructions carefully before your first use to avoid costly mistakes In my test, I filled the tank to 1000 psi as I didn't intend to use it soon. It took around 5 minutes to pump my 48ci tank to this level using mains power. Once the set psi was reached, the pump automatically switched off. However, don't unplug it immediately; let it run a bit longer for the fans to cool it down. In summary, this unit is compact and relatively quiet. As soon as you get it, you're ready to start pumping either at home or using your car's battery. While not inexpensive, over time it will pay for itself.
