I like this buckle. Is got a lot going on in here and the tools and tiny because as I say hey packed a ,lot in a small package, By the way you have to remove all of the metal tools from under the compass for it to be accurate. I noticed complains about the compass and figured this may be he issue but all of mine are fine. One of the five I got one has a whistle the is not to great but otherwise its a fine buckle to combine with survival cord

3 of the compasses are way off, but the rest will work for cardinal directions. The whistles are loud enough which is good. And the firesteels will work in a pinch and better if modified. I wish the strikers came out and there was a flat side on there instead of the serrated. It is hard to get consistent flames and it chews into the firesteel meaning it will get harder and harder to use and get ate up. And it also damages the buckle clasps because it is a tight space. But that is kind of a given. If you needed to breakdown your bracelet to use this you wouldn't worry about the clasp and you might tear out the striker part or firesteel to use easier or just use some other tool you have on you to strike the ferro rod (which might mean snapping off the buckle clasps around it anyway). So these are nice and it is understood you are buying bulk items from china and some things might not be quality controlled and the compasses can be damaged in transit. So I am using the 3 messed up ones for kids gifts and practice or show and will use the other 7 for selling. But yeah, I knew what I was paying for so it is all good.

It's pretty decent for a survival bracelet. But you have to slowly spin the compass back and forth ~20 degrees to get a somewhat accurate read. Haven't owned it long enough know how good the oil seal is, but it's an ok back-up compass. This should not be used as your primary compass, as it is no substitute for a lensatic compass. This compass should only be used if your primary compass is lost or becomes inoperable for some reason.

Lightweight, including all the tools and essential items for mountain bikes! It also seems to be a very durable material! Don't hesitate to order it. Hex wrenches, multi-tools, screwdrivers, snacks, maps, wallets and keys. He still managed to sit on the upper back! Absolutely suitable for long-distance travel with minimalism. Used with 2L water bladder.

A good bag for fast mountain bike trips. This is very good quality. It has plenty of room for small camels, small bicycle kits and helmets on the outside of the package. I am just a day biker and not a hardcore pilot. For those who start cycling like me, the packaging will be great.

The compass works well enough for a backup compass - BUT, you have to unlink the two pieces since the scraper is metal. Any compass that close to metal (knife or other steel) will point to the metal and not north. I use these with my knives as a backup ferro rod, and as a companion for a primary compass (you should never trust just one compass). Mine were liquid filled, The whistle was plenty loud. By itself this isn't much of a "survival" item. But it makes a great companion to a primary compass, a good knife and ferro rod and eliminates the need for a larger whistle. Just stow it in the sheath pocket, or attached it with a small loop of 550 cord.
