The rod is great. The reel held up very well for the price, although try to avoid getting it wet, it will start to seize up otherwise. That happened to me but I took it apart and greased it and was more careful going forward. Each individual section of the rod is free-rotating, so you have to line up all of the eyes when you extend, but no big deal. Overall, I would definitely purchase this combo again. I'm sure at some point I'll swap the reel out with another, but I'd be willing to pay this price for the rod alone, so it's all good!

The reel had no play and the rod was very nice, much better than I needed for a quick after work fishing rod, this is something I'd use out on my boat in fresh water any day. If you are looking for a rod that's nice, stores in a small space and would make a great gift for yourself or someone else, this is a great option. I highly reccomend it. The price for what you get is 5 stars.

Look. It's not a super expensive, super high quality rod. With that said, I am convinced that it is the best rod for urban fishing. It's strong enough to catch bass and sensitive enough to feel every bite. The collapsable part is my absolute favorite. I take the train to go to fishing spots and not having to carry a giant stick is amazing. I can go get a cup of coffee without hoping I hook someone waiting in line.

I gave it a 5 star knowing I have not tested in real life. The 5 star was given to the fact it came looking like it was way worth more than the price. Everything was packed so cleanly and still in the wrapping. The rod feels stirty even when I extended to its full length. The handle was solid and the extended handle was a nice touch.
