Ok so when I first got this, I was pretty mad because it’s way smaller than I expected. My own fault for not readying the size chart. But it holds up. Pretty good. Not really sure it’s worth the cost. I paid less for something much more durable after this. But it does work. Although having the top dish in doesn’t really give it much usability.

The old Turm-Sport alcohol stove is my favorite camping stove. However, both of my Turm-Sport stoves are showing their age, and they aren't made anymore. I tried this stove as a replacement because it operates in a similar way. It has an adjustable flame just like the old stove. This stove works well enough to use, but not quite as well as the old stoves it is replacing. The flame is adjustable just like the old stove, from a low simmer to a nice rolling boil. However, it stays yellow, it never forms a nice blue flame at high setting. The Lixada stove does not fold up into a neat package like the Turm-Sport. This stove base is made very cheaply from thin sheet metal. A heavy pot of water may well bend the frame down. The burner assembly is attached quite loosely to the base making the whole thing feel like a cheap toy. When operating, the adjustment knob gets very hot, requiring a hot pad or gloves to adjust it. I am actually surprised that the plastic adjusting knob hasn't melted off by now.

Usable, very stable, priced properly. Best with liquid fuel source. XL version would be nice.

edges need deburring.plastic bag is just wrong type; frays and opening is too small. round dish is for what? maybe alcohol or esbit tab but the back side of the chimmey was not slot cut for it (just the two sides are relieved) so the dish dosen't fit. time for Dremel I suppose. Did seem to burn small sticks okay; wanting to test as 3-in-1; alcohol stove, esbit tabs, and wood sticks so dish may not be needed (turn over alcohol stove to burn Esbit tabs, add a small piece of foil or metal to protect the stove bottom from burnt goo). Is light and inexpensive and does collaspe down flat so has possibilities.

This thing is WAY smaller then I thought. Works good, but maybe big enough for a cup of coffee.

Saw in other reviews that the bottom didn't fit without bending the stove together. Also noticed in the picture with the wood fire, that particular stove assembled like the bushbox does without any hinges. The other pictures show hinges. The original version was apparently square, and switching to hinges racked the angles. They either didn't put the hinges in the right place or change the base plate to match. Some dingbat in charge couldn't add. So, I took out the dremel, ground down across a diagonal and tapered to match. Fits like a glove now, but looks more like a firebox than a bushbox. I also pinched the ends of the hinges a little, looked like a pin could fall out. The bowl is a tad big, but it fits. The bent lip goes opposite of the door. Leave the base plate off. Had deep suspicions about the bowl as an alcohol burner, so I tested it. First I tried half an ounce, and guess what. It actually kind of works. The flame, however, could easily get blown out by a moderate breeze. A little bump could spill burning fuel all over. It's just not practical or safe in real life situations. Besides, it's just about perfect for Esbit tabs or something similar. A Trangia fits in nicely, even through the top. Also, there is enough room to use the simmer ring in a few positions, but it does not fit through the door with the burner inside. Keep leather gloves and needle nose pliers handy. September 20: After modifying the base plate and using this with wood, esbit tabs, trangia, and charcoal starters; I can confidently say that this is an effective combo fuel stove base. It needs a little grinding to take the base plate out of square for it to work at it's best. Don't try to assemble it with both the bowl and base plate at the same time, no need. Put the bent lip of the bowl against the back of the stove, that's the way it's supposed to fit. Included some pics to highlight assembly options and show the out of square base plate.

It functions adequately for the price. I plan to use it in my hunting pack for long day hunts, if it lasts a couple of years it was worth it.

A fantastic piece of kit and at a price well below others! The negative is that the plate at the bottom is cut a little too big for the box but it does work fine. The bowl for the alcohol burner does not fit either but works great as a catch pan for wood spilling out of the opening. This is an awesome deal and I am so glad I purchased it. I have a review on YouTube for it, look up my channel Patrick Randolph and you can watch it. If you want one of these but dont want to pay the outrageous seeming price of more name brands I highly recommended getting this one.
