Yes, as a matter of fact I did just that. I've burned fires in it for over 20 minutes with no warping or problems . The pan pictured works well with solid fuels like Esbit for a quick smokeless fire also. I'd buy another one of these.

Item was flimsy, not sturdy,didn't stand flatl on the surface ,I had to bend the bottom legs to get it to fit flat to hold pots.after adjustment it worked as I read it was supposed to function properly, alcohol dish boiled 2 cups of water in about 2 1/2 minutes. I didn't try burning tinder or wood yet.I'll keep it for camping as a second source for cooking ,etc.because it does fold flat easy for backpack storage.

I have a Lixada stainless steel stove that is the hinged corner but with pin for the fourth corner version of this stove and love it. So, I decided to get the titanium version to shed a little weight in the backpack. This titanium version is not of the same quality and design as the bullet-proof stainless steel one. First, all of the press-cut edges are rather rough. The first thing I did was take it out to the shop and use sandpaper to smooth everything up. Next, the hinges are very cheaply crimped and the hinge folds seem poorly done. Following that, it just feels flimsy when setting full pots on it. Not a big deal but the cloth storage bag that came with it was quite over-sized and not nearly as good as what came with the stainless steel stove. It just feels like Lixada contracted a different manufacturer to produce this titanium stove. The dimensions are slightly off from the stainless. There's not even the typical Lixada logo etched into it anywhere. I really wanted to like this stove but to be honest, it is now in the bug out bag and not part of my primary camping kit.
