So, I got these speakers to replace my old ones that only just after about 10 years or so have started wonking out on me. (they were a super old pair of like Compaq computer speakers which i thought were pretty decent) ANYWAYS, the first thing that I'm surprised by when I get these are how BIG they are--I don't know a lot about speakers, but I know I want decently-sized ones that'll last me and sound good--ones that wont fizzle or blow on bass or kill the treble or whatever. But yeah, I'm surprised by how big they are because I didn't expect them to be so big. At the time, I'm not currently using them (waiting for a bed shelf to show up to put them on) But I decided to test them out. Dummy me, underestimating the sound of these speakers, hooks them up, turns both my mp3's and speaker volume to max, sit right in front of them, face first and well... I was punched in the face by powerful sound that shook me AND my nightstand

Quality of material and built is a lot better than usual small plastic computer speakers, and so is their sound quality. The are a little bigger than I expected though (using them on my desktop on the sides of my monitor). Very easy and intuitive installation, but also there is a wiring diagram on the accompanying booklet. The 5 stars on sound quality are given considering the intended use as monitor speakers for home office recording of classes and presentation videos. Overall great value for the money for intended purpose.

The sound quality of these speakers is really decent - considering they're not super high-end speakers. But the volume is SOOooooo low that it is really difficult to hear sometimes. If you have just a little noise going on in the background it can become very hard to hear them.
